OH MY LORD!!ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE KIDS THESE DAYS? DO THAT NOT HAVE ANY REGARD FOR LIFE? WHAT ARE THIER PARENTS TEACHING THEM? I TEACH MY KIDS THAT ALL LIFE IS PRECIOUS EVEN A COMMON HOUSEFLY OR AN ANT AND YET THAT SEMS SO INSIGNIFIGANT WHEN YOU HEAR THINGS LIKE THIS HAPPENING. NOW THIS WHOLE FAMILY IS DESTROYED BECAUSE OF A FIGHT OVER A VIDEO GAME. WELL, I HOPE NOBODY TRIES TO GO AND BLAME THE VIDEO GAME, I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS. I THINK THAT WHEN PEOPLE BLAME GAMES, TV OR MUSIC ON A CRIME THAT IT'S JUST A COP OUT AND THEY EITHER DON'T WANT TO ADMIT TO AN UNDERLINING PROBLEM OR THEY'RE TOO BLIND TO SEE ONE BUT THERE IS ALWAYS A REASON THINGS HAPPEN AND IT'S NEVER, EVER BECAUSE OF A GAME, TV OR MUSIC. I THINK THAT IS A RIDICULOUS EXCUSE SO, I HOPE THAT DOESN'T BECOME AN ISSUE. IN THE MEANTIME, I HOPE THAT SOMEONE REACHES OUT TO THIS 13 YEAR OLD AND TRIES TO HELP HIM THRU THIS BECAUSE HE APPARENTLY NEEDS SOME TYPE OF GUIDANCE.

This is insane. A child in America killing a brother in such a way needs to be examined with a fine tooth comb. See what is causing this..before it becomes vogue.

You DO know that some older (not necessarily elderly) people type in all caps because they don't really know the "proper typing etiquette", right? I think it's pretty rude of you to talk down to someone like that, especially insinuating they need BP medication or belittling them if they can't see very well....It seems to me that you may be the one who needs the BP medicine.....Chill out & give someone a break....

When I was thirteen I got very mad at my brother and beat the crap out of him but I never wanted to kill him. This boy must have a rage problem and cannot control himself. Sad.

I totally agree with you on this statement. As I have watched the evolution of Nintendo in my home from the first game out of the box.

At first when Mario was being played, I would watch the players. They would be moving, flaying about with his jumps. Was fun to watch, and they were having fun.

Then the games where violence came out and I noted the body movement stopped. Shoulders curled forward, stance still, mind churning, and a coldness in attitude. There was such a concentration in these games, spelled bond killing both male and female, dog, cat and any other creature that came their way.

The perfect army was born. Japanese army.

Over time, the frightening thing you've all mentioned. Is this behavior went from the TV sets,(being used to play Nintendo on) and was taken to the streets, the schools, into everyday life, our malls, and into our homes.

And the age keeps getting younger.

Shows on TV depict violence, killing of young females, of whole families, or whatever fits the producers fancy to obtain the largest based audience.

There is hardly a parent one paying the utmost attention to their child or children. Our modern day and age in the states has completely lost it's focus.

We have swept the children under the rug. Leaving them to play these games, watch these shows, including horror films of any kind.

The young are left to formulate their own opinions, angers, loves and whatever emotion makes up the total human being.

America has become the "Lord of the Flys". I have yet to lock down when on TV there is a "reality" show where children are given a town to do as they please without adults.

I believe strongly that all of America should focus on the program, if it lives up to my hopeful expectations , we will have a taste of what children really think, as well as how they really feel. Not to mention their politics.

As a whole, we need to stop whatever we are doing and pay attention to the children, they really have something very important to tell us.

They wish to say..what is coming.
For their's is the future.

Of course, some people type in all caps out of laziness, habit, or lack of concern for readers. In those cases, a polite reminder is in order. ;~)

"In Awe" is right about him getting the idea from the video game. I read in another news article covering this story that the game they were playing was Rockstar Games new title "I'll stab you if you dont' give me the controller when it's my turn 2007.) You wrack up points for stabbing people that won't give you what you want, when you want it. So, I'm sure it was all the video games fault and not the fault of the parents raising a little brat who was so poorly disciplined and had such poor impulse control that the would kill someone the moment he doesn't get what he wants.

Awe come on, don't down the games. If you're weak minded enough to let a "game" control your life, then the problems lie way deeper than that. The games are rated, for a reason. The parents need to control that. I will say this, though. If I ever come across a T-Rex...I'll nail him! LOL!

I'm not downing the game I'm just simply saying that is where he got the idea from. Ultimately, it is the parents responsibility but I have a child and I don't find your comment funny either because this is a serious issue, a 13 year old kills his 16 year old BROTHER, I mean, what the he~~???? I just don't find humor in that, at all, but to each his own. Have a good day...

I don't find any humor in any of this. A child is dead. Brothers should be friends.
Where are the parents?
