How can you hold Walker accountable for the poor jobs numbers without also holding Tom Barrett accountable for the same thing. Barrett has proven he can't even buy jobs for Milwaukee with his failure to bring Kohl's corporate downtown. He threw money at them and they still said no. That seems like as much if not more of a failure on jobs as Walker.

Moving Kohl's Corporate would not have added jobs to downtown milwaukee. Kohl's was considering moving their HQ from one Milwaukee County location to another Milwaukee County location. In the end, they decided to expand at their current location. Why? Reportedly, the majority of the HQ employees live near the current location. Land tax in USAmerican city center areas is higher than in the 'burbs. Weak highway infrastructure/planning seems to be the third big snag. No one is going to want to drive on Fondulac Ave from the 'burbs to the city. Barret & Abele don't control how highways are built in the state.

http://www.jsonline.com/business/kohls-says-n...

The fact Kohl's considered the move for two years is actually a partial win. It means the mayor and county exec did their respective parts in putting together as sweet a deal as is possible. It's proof positive Barret, with the help of Abele, is trying new things... and getting notice from major corporations.

The article to which you're responding is about the poor jobs performance rate of the state. That was a PRIMARY campaigning point for Walker.

That's what you got out of the entire post? Typical.

MF is in Waukesha County. Waukesha County is part of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Area. So, Kohl's HQ is in the Milwaukee Metro Area where it is now.

As for the rest of my post... the facts stand. Kohl's made the choice based on at least 3 major factors, none of which have anything to do with Barrett & Abele. PERIOD.

The jobs will follow, right now Walker is saving "millions" for the schools in Wisconsin, but I suppose you won't acknowledge that!
We are proud. Proud that Walker has the "Kehonies" to do what has to be done to keep Wisconsin from looking like Illinois!
Barrett? The guy who wants to spend MILLIONS on the 2.5 mile trolly that will never be able to support itself. Falk...the bought and paid for by the unions...Naw.....I'll vote for Walker and keep Wisconsin moving in the right direction.
Nice try on your part to use my posting name...but I am way to conservative to write the crap you do.
It is nice to see you liberals spending all your $$$$ here in Wisconsin it really helps our economy.

you are truly an idiot. I posted about how Barrett couldn't bring jobs using Kohls as my example. You then make false statements saying they are already in Milwaukee and when I show you are wrong now you talk about the Metro area. Barrett is the Mayor of Milwaukee you idiot not the Milwaukee Metro area. Stick to the topic you are talking about. I stated something about Barrett and his inability to creat jobs in Milwaukee. If you have something to say about that then do so but don't change topic to Milwaukee Metro which has nothing to do with my statement.

Neither Barrett nor Abele is the CEO of Kohl's. Their decision to forego massive incentives to move from MF to MKE Downtown has nothing to do a lack on their part. It has to do with a lack of desire on the part of the Kohl's corporation. Offering the link I've previously post, I've proved you chose a poor example. PERIOD.

Now, stop humping my leg and start explaining how Milwaukee can needs Walker... IF that's the problem you have with this thread.

Walker was the MKE County Exec for some time. He led an entourage of criminals, and his currently part of the John Doe investigation. He's costing MKE money now... even in his absence. We can't afford him any longer.

Furthermore the only thing you have proven to me is:
You can't stay on topic
You do not understand what you read
When you are wrong you do the typical liberal redirect and deflect
You are terrible at geography
You are probably unemployed or a union puppet
You think government should run everything
You support Barrett who has done nothing but raise taxes and push forward a useless trolley project
You can't admit Walker has saved WI money
You have no suggestions on how we could have balanced the budget without Act 10
You are too stupid to realize Walker and his office came forward with the info that started the Jon Doe investigation
You will vote for someone that has no plan on how to balance the budget
You don't realize there would have been more job losses without Act 10 due to schools having to cut jobs to save the money Walker saved with Act 10
Last but not least YOU ARE AN IDIOT

The recall cost is being shared by the entire state.

The JoHn Doe investigation is being shouldered by Milwaukee.

So, once again, when comparing apples to oranges you are an expert.

The topic is MILWAUKEE CANNOT AFFORD ANYMORE OF WALKER'S ATTACKS. MILWAUKEE... not Wisconsin. Get it? Stop the dry humping.

Anyone who needs to resort to repetitive namecalling to punctuate his arguments might be guilty of being exactly what he's claiming his opponents to be.
While you think about that, will you admit that Walker has aroused more divisiveness and hatred among his constituents than any previous Wisconsin Governor? All just to court the approval of out-of-state billionaires and special interest groups.

Well stated on all points.

1) I've posted the same when I read these kinds of things aimed at other users... which led to me becoming a target.

2) Yes... Walker has done just that. But neither Walker nor his camp cares, because Milwaukee and Wisconsin are merely stepping stones toward a longer Federal career.

3) You hit it on the head. And those groups will back him moving to DC.

MILWAUKEE CAN'T AFFORD ANYMORE OF WALKER'S ATTACKS, so Milwaukee is investigating him and his cronies.

I have a simple solution to those of you that don't agree with Walkers reforms. How about all of you volunteer to pay for the recall election expense and for the teachers pension and for the ridiculous health insurance premiums for teachers that were sometimes double what some communities are paying now for the same or better coverage. We can all vote as to if we want to support these things or not. Us that choose not to will pay what we contribute now under Walkers reforms and you all that vote to contribute can split the remainder. Since most liberals are poor or unemployed because all the rich people are Republicans according to the liberals it will be hard to pay your share. So I guess us "rich Republicans" will not only have to pay for your food stamps, unemployment oh yeah and for your share of taxes.

How about Walker and his followers payfor the recall that got him into public offic in Milwaukee....You remember, back when Lord Walker was in favor of recalls! How about all the donations to his legal defense for corruption? That money could have been used to feed poor folks etc.if he wasn't such a crook!
