I was on my computer and had to hold on to my table - with both hands. Never felt anything like it -- the entire house rolled for about 3 seconds. Yikes!

I then called a friend on the other part of the country and told her that I thought it was an earthquake!

We were not sure if it was an earthquake or an explosion. Called 911 - they said they received several calls, they were investigating. We are south of Red Lion -

We have been having quite a bit of seismic activity this past year, and no I am wondering if this is something we should be concerned about, what is the history around here in regards to earthquakes, are there any fault lines to be aware of, should we start preping in case of an emergency if one is strong enough to cause damage, or are scientists going to wait until everyone is scrambling to educate people if something like this were to happen?
I would seriously like more information on this particular topic as soon as possible.

my building started shaking really crazily, and it was longer and stronger than a blast from the quarry, and they don't blast at night. I went to WGAL, but nothing was posted.
I went to the local store and the cashier said that the local police said we had just had an earthquake, and now I can not go to sleep. lol

I was in California for the LA Quake of '94 as well. This was a "rumble" compared to that. If your house shook for three minutes this morning, maybe you had better get the house checked out...

We are south of Red Lion as well, in Felton - and we definitely felt it. My husband immediately knew it was an earthquake - I had my doubts until this morning when I read the news.

I was laying in bed and felt and heard the quake at the same time. My husband thought it was wind and I said, "No, I think that was a Earth Quake." It was different.

We live in Airville and definately felt the earthquake. The whole house shook and the "boom" noise made us think it was the furnance. Was so happy to find message board on ydr about one hour later, confirmed that is was an Earthquake.

I was in bed awake. I thought a truck was going by the house. I remember a much stronger one in 84? That scared us out of the house and that was in Carroll County MD

Wrong, the Easter 1984 quake was centered in Marticville along the Marticville Fault which is just South of Lancaster. I remember it as a 4.5. This earthquake was not centered in Carroll County.

Last night (I now live in Dallastown)my 11 year old son came downstairs scared because in his words "the wind shook the house", tuns out it was the earthquake.

I live in York Township, right by I-83 and South Queen Street. We felt a low rumbling move across the floor. My wife thought it might have been the LifeLion helicopter flying low and slow on its way toward York Hospital, but I went outside right away and the night was dead quiet. I knew I would have heard the helicopter still moving away. I told my wife that might have been an earthquake. She told me to call the Daily Record right away.
