Atlantic County vo-tech / What do you think?
Should Atlantic County borrow $24 million to help fund a $40 million expansion of the Atlantic County Institute of Technology? We thought we'd ask, since county freeholders apparently don't intend to ask you.

Funding of the Vo-Tech is being scrutinized. Never, but never have I heard of the budget for a high school athletic program scrutinized as much as this Vo-Tech expansion. Vo-Tech is beneficial to more students than an athletic program. Vo-Tech is also more beneficial to local employers than an athletic program.
Atlethic programs give a few kids exposure so that they may win scholarships. Vo-Tech teaches students to work.

My daughter attends ACIT studying culinary arts. It is an excellent school. Not only is she receiving a great education but she is also learning a trade. The school moves at a much faster pace than a regular high school and even as I write my daughter is attending a summer Algebra refresher course that is being offered at the school. I believe that whatever funding the school needs is for the benefit of the students.

I go to A.C.I.T and am going to be a sophmore this year. I have learned many things I know i would'nt have learned if I had gone to ACHS. This school deserves the funding because for years it has help hundreds of students like find something we like to do and become great at it.
