4 years for stealing lobster tails? Stallworth got 1 month for killing a person, Vick got only 23 months for killing dogs, and this guy gets 4 years for stealing frozen (already killed) lobster tails? It wasn't even an armed robbery. He must have a doozy of a prior record.

How does $1275 worth of frozen lobster equate to 4 yrs in prison? Something doesn't add up here.... he must have been a habitual lobster thief

And a guy in Minnesota just got 5 years for murdering his girlfriend. Something does not seem quite right here. . . .

I hope that his cellmate isn't into "cramming" things.

Step right up and see the amazing Lobster Boy!

The judge was going to render a lighter sentance but he thought butter of it.

The suspect is now trapped and is very steamed about the sentence. You can't run from the long claw of the law!

Chances are good he had no priors. First time offenders get the book thrown at them. They want them on a short leash to try to keep them in the system. Known criminals and repeat offenders will be back for more while the one time offenders will stay out of the system. That's why they put them on a long probation, if they so much as miss a meeting with thier probation agent they can pull them back in and start the recycle process. People need to realize how much like a business this really is. The severity of the crime plays no part in what the outcome of the charges or sentence is. Yous haven't heard about any judges or prosecutors getting laid off have you? Corrections is doing well also. Think about it.
