Sounds to me like Ms. Belak is the one who needs to learn how to follow procedure. What a ditz! A kid would know to turn in receipts if you want to get paid.

Eva Ng's campaign was the WORST campaign I have ever seen Run. After doing some research we found that Lisa Belak's husband works for the City of St Pauls transit commission for Lite Rail and is a Union Lobbyist that works with DFL issues. Eva Ng dropped the ball on Vetting Lisa Belak as a Viable Campain Manager! This move on Lisa Belak's part is to Destroy Eva Ng's chances to ever look at Public Office again. For every story like this, there is a Motive! Personally I would not Hire Lisa Belak to cut my grass..

A good lesson for all candidates:

Don't be an ass to your campaign workers...it's really hard on your reputation if they decide to tell about the real you.

This is sad. This should have never happened. Both Eva and Lisa are good people.

St. Paul is a DFL town, it is controlled 100% by the DFL. With IRV it will stay DFL for the next 50 years or more. Too many special interest groups depend on the DFL for money. They aren't going to cut their lifeline for what is RIGHT.

The information you have added here is COMPLETELY INACCURATE. Your research is worse than you claim theirs is, and you should be more sure of your information before you comment. Shame on you for making this worse for everyone involved.

I don't think leap is to far off base with the Information. Mybe before you shame this poster you should look in to the comment. Also for starters you should also take a trip over to the sectary of states web site and search Lisa Belak under years of campaign personal donations then check out lobbyist. She would have been a great campaign manager for your mayor Coleman.

I think the people of St Paul will start voting with their pocket book soon. They just are not Taxed enough yet. I see that over 10,000 people wanted your coleman out and you can bet them are people that worked for a living. For a city that big, you people sure don't get out the vote much.

This is just more evidence of the slimy world that politicians live in,Totally bereft of honor, morality or ethics, they grasp at every opportunity to destroy their rivals and advance a more favored one. The public wonders,"Where are the honest candidates, who will rescue us from this world of power seekers?" Question; would you offer yourself up to be sacraficed on the altar of another's ambition? And if you are honest, and you win your election, you will find your self at the mercies of evil people who will lie, cheat and manuever to have youleave in disgrace.

No the public does not wonder. The public already knows - and it showed in the results of the election.

Democrats are honest and care for the well being of the general public. Republi-thugs are crooked and only looking to line their pockets with illeagle contributions from rich fat cats that steal their money from the poor in this country.

Simple question. Simple answer.:)

Agreed. Heaven forbid these people voting with their conscience! I say no more thinking of anyone else, but my own economic self-interest! I've had it with "loving thy dear neighbor" and "taking care of the poor and vulnerable". It's time to embrace tax cuts, decrease public education and transit- make sure that if you can't pay for a doctor, then you don't get to see one- and let the less fortunate get a job

More careful searches and fewer assumptions would reveal that the person in the article is NOT the same person that is referenced by you, Leapfrog or listed on the sos site as a lobbyist contributor. As "St. Paul Republican" wrote earlier, "This is sad. This should have never happened. Both Eva and Lisa are good people.”

They both are probably good people. I am sure either is fine under normal circumstances..
This seems to me this is a simple issue (if the newsreports are acccurate)...if one side has receipts and the other side doesn't..
Where did Ms. Ng get the materials and office supplies for her campaign?
She had since late August to verify where she got the material and office supplies....enough time.
Did she think the materials and the office supplies just showed up by campaign fairies?
She could have reported it as a disputed debt and disclosed it, while not acknowleging that she agreed with the debt. She didn't do that either. Now, all she is doing is causing trouble by not taking a deep breath and looking at this rationally.
If you read between the lines of the newspaper reports........Seems to me that the parties had a falling out. If she had true character, she would settle the matter.
Finally, it is really ironic that she made such an issue out of Mayor Coleman's campaign spending, followed him around in a chicken suit and generally tried to make accountability an issue...when clearly she had an outstanding issue on her own that she at minimum handled poorly....just saying...ironic.
No one can ruin someone's political future but themselves...seems to me Ms. Ng is doing a great job of that herself.
Seems Ms. Ng can settle this matter in short order, if she choose to act like a stateswoman & properly deal a matter.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Aquarius

Money is a source of friction between you and friends now, so treat it with caution and respect. There could be a disagreement between you and a chum about a possession or a debt that one of you owes the other. If you're trying to organize a forthcoming social event, you could come unstuck when working out how much it's all going to cost because it might be far too expensive.
