gang related eh? The bad news is 'both, it appears, will make it'. Is it that bad on the East Side? Lived there 1950-56 and it was ok then.

My parents and I lived on the East Side during the 70's and it wasn't OK then. We lived on Reaney and there were problems according to my Mother. From my visual perspective of the neighborood today isn't one that's in ruins, but poor excuses of inhabitants. To be an insensitive person I could hope the bad folk pick one another off, and at times I think could there be an outreach program of sorts? My best guess at the current issue is the cultural difference and their inability to assimilate to American Society. Whereas the children are left without an identity once they seperate themselves from their parents ideology. Then they seem to pick up the cool gansta mask and the downward spiral begins. Which we see in the article.

You can throw all the government money in "outreach" at these pigs you want, it won't change their or their kids' outlook. "Outreach" is code for another government agency hiring another bureaucrat @ hundreds of thousands/ year, and they don't care about anything except acquiring more staff and a bigger bureaucracy.
Wise up. They don't care about these pigs and neither should you.
Trust your first instinct.

Single parent families another possible cause. The government plays the role of the father and this father is failing.

Government programs have been in place long enough to raise these kids.

THEY FAILED, GOVERNMENT FAILED!!

These 2 are probably uninsured and being treated at much cost in the health care system, TAXPAYERS/WORKER BEES.

It would be best to enroll everyone in firearms training so they are better shots and the next time they shoot someone they actually KILL them to at least reduce the cost of health care following the shooting.

Yup, and as in ALL GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS the more clients they have the more money the government workers make and the more government workers are needed. The more government workers needed the more management staff needed etc etc etc..........

Socialism don't work, never will!

Living in North Saint Paul I know all about Socialism.

Crime has gotten really bad here on the East Side. It is actually out of control- worse than I have ever seen it. Maybe because of double digit percentages of unemployment in st. paul? Or could have something to do with the fact that most of St. Paul's 60,000 illegals live on the east side now? they are undocumented and can't get real jobs so go back to being banditos in the harsh economic climate?

It's bad, and city hall doesn't care.

I still think they should have an area where these gang banging wannabees can go to shoot each other without risking innocent bystanders. A nice rural setting, no paved roads, no cell phone service, and any type of health care at least one hour away. Round up all the twits who claim to be gang bangers, and turn 'em loose on each other!

They should have died. The world would be a better place. Give me one reason they should be alive? So the cops have jobs? So the prisons8441 have people to live in them. Screw em. Hurry up and DIE!

Just what do you expect when you elect ACORN AL and ACORN AMY? Ths state deserves what these gang bangers are doing. Ecept that you elected Al and Amy and get over it. It's juts a few people shot and wounded and no one is safe to walk down the streets at night, or afternoon, or any time in the day time. The people of Minnesota have spoken. You wanted it. You got it. Welcome to OBAMA WORLD

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Capricorn

You're in the mood to spend some money today. That's fine if you've got it, because you'll have a wonderful time strolling around the shops. But it isn't such good news if you're supposed to be sticking to a strict budget because that will be well nigh impossible once you've seen something that catches your eye. It will keep saying 'Buy me, buy me!'
