Those road improvement funds are can be coming from the Feds but they are predicated on the governor and Legislature stepping up to apply and pass legislation for such. For every dollar MN can ante up for roads etc. the Feds, with the MN Congressional delegation's support, can procure and enact matching funds[2-5 dollars for every MN dollar].

Mass transit is becoming a very useful transportation alternative and necessity for many parts of MN and the USA.

Stimulus? What a joke. This does NOTHING to stimulate the economy. How many more people will be spending money because of this?

won't do much to stimulate the economy i'm afraid. did you know less than 4 percent of the workforce uses 'transit' to get to work? in other words, "transit" contributes almost zero to overall productivity. make-work projects to remodel austin-mower county transit might keep six or seven people busy for the summer but beyond that? but all of barack's stimulus is like this. empty calorie make work projects here and there, the rest of it dedicated to new regulations, bureaucracy and expanded government. a total lie.

This will only stimulate our economy if the buses and such, are being built here, in our state. Meanwhile 200 to 300 cars are sitting, backed up on 694 eastbound every day because the freeway goes from 3 lanes to 2 lanes to one lane before going back to 2 lanes again. Ever give any thought to actually improving driving conditions by reducing bottlenecks? I wonder how much "evil" emissions are given off in these traffic jams?

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Libra

Throughout the rest of the month you'll enjoy the security and comfort that you gain from being in familiar places surrounded by familiar faces. You won't be happy about straying too far from home, and you'll rush back there as soon as possible. This is a great time to consider ways in which you can improve the appearance of your home or garden.
