Today marks the one year aniversary of the double murders of Melinda Ann Schene, and her friend, Nathan Moses.

The other double murders, of Steven Taylor, and Jenine Johnson, have yet to be solved, and those murders are going on two years.

No arrests have been made in either case, and one has to wonder why? No reward has been offered in the murders of Melinda, and Nathan, the reweard for information still stands at $10,000.00 for Steven, and Jenine.

Not to say that a reward would bring the killers to justice, but it would be a thread of hope in both cases. From what I understand, CRIMESTOPPERS offers a $1,000.00 reward for information on ANY crime of this nature. It would seem warranted, in the Schene/Moses case, that CRIMESTOPPERS would at the very least make the $1,000.00 reward known to the residents of Ferris and surrounding areas.

I, personally, haven't given up hope that the killers of these four Ferris residents will be found. I, do however, doubt that the Ferris/Ellis County/Texas Rangers investigators have the skills, and resources to bring the killer/killers in. We perhaps should ask them to get some outside, professional help. Perhaps, the FBI.

To date, NONE of the noteworthy crimes occuring in Ferris have been solved, a tribute to the fine investigators in the FPD. I can only hope the murders of my two friends, Melinda, and Nate, along with the Steven, and Jenine's are the solved soon.

We don't want Ferris to known as the town where one can get away with killing, and robbing people.

I apoligize for the errors in my above post. Here are the corrections;

No arrests have been made in either case, and one has to wonder why? No reward, has been offered in the murders of Melinda, and Nathan, the reward for information still stands at $10,000.00 for Steven, and Jenine.

To date, NONE of the noteworthy crimes occuring in Ferris have been solved, a tribute to the fine investigators in the FPD. I can only hope the murders of my two friends, Melinda, and Nate, along with Steven, and Jenine's, are solved soon.

could not find the whole news story that aired on fox news. They apparently have taken it off their website. But here is a sketch of the guy seen leaving in a minivan the night of the murder after Janine was heard screaming and a shot of Maxwell (whom also owned a minivan) a couple of years after janine’s murder. I think they resemble each other and also the coincidence that Maxwell lived in Corsicana right up the road is very strange to me. Like I said I have taken these similarities to the ferris police department and to the dallas morning news and fort worth star telegram. The editor from the star telegram has emailed me a couple of times and asked me various questions which I answered but nothing else came out of all of this….this is sooooo sad! Me and her were stuck together like glue in high school. I was there for her first wedding and helped her with her son when he was born until she gave custody to her ex husband…she was a very good person inside and I know that whoever did this had to be on a murder rampage. She was never involved in drugs or any illegal activity. I think it is BS that the killer is either out on the lose or it was Maxwell…the sketch just looks to close to me.

google image of the sketch of the murder suspect in janine johnson's case and a picture of maxwell (remember that a couple of years had gone by) but there is a resemblence. These cases need to be solved for Justice and Closure for family and friends. SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW SOMETHING!

These comments are appreciated for sure. I am Stevens Brother n Law and we have been in contact constantly with FPD. Yes we are frustrated with the progress of this case and we pray daily for closure, but this is real life, not CSI on TV, FPD and The Texas Rangers have not given up on this case, it has not been deemed a "cold case yet. We hope and pray every day that phone call will come in saying they have arrested the POS that did this. These four peple had no enemys, did not participate in drugs, this in turn has confused authorities, as mentioned we are very frustrated with the progress but have faith in our justice system that someday an arrest and conviction will happen,(if i dont find them first) RIP Steven-Janine-Malinda and Nathian

I loved Steve Taylor, he dated my daughter when they were younger. He visited me every Christmas Eve, and I still miss him on that eve. I do not understand why nothing has been done. Can't we do something, involve theFBI or something. He was my friend , I want his murder caught and punished.

Do you know this is all I found on Steve on the internet! This is a disgrace!! Poor boys don't matter like the policeman or rich kids. I am so angry at this !!

To Steven's family, I am so sorry. He was delight to me and he loved me. He use to call me mom and this is how I remember him, As I decorate my Christmas tree my heart of thoughts are on him for there would always be a knock on my door and there he would be on Christmas Eve. My last visit he wore a white cowboy hat, his jeans , a pretty western shirt and of course that shiny belt buckle. My prayers are with you always. He deserved a full life, he was so robbed as we are were of his leaving.

It is taking a long time to solve these crimes. I hope these families get justice soon. I wonder who is really working on these cases. These are small towns where everyone knows everyone. Someone has to know something.
