We have an event with a Christian band called The Lost Dogs- a folk rock act combining the front men of many underground Christian bands. They broke out in the 90's with radio singles like; Breath Deep the Breath of God and Pray Where You Are.
The Lost Dogs come to Lancaster on Sunday, August 5, 2012 with their music artistry; seasoned with over twenty years of indie rock, influenced by Americana and Folk. This concert featuring just The Lost Dogs, will be intimate, accessiable and unforgettable.
Tickets are $15 in advance /$20 at the door. Doors open at 6:30p / Concert begins at 7p.
The Lost Dogs are a supergroup, formed in 1991 by combining vocalists, songwriters and talented guitarists from multiple alternative rock bands. Their current lineup includes Terry Scott Taylor (Daniel Amos, the Swirling Eddies), Michael Roe (The 77s), Derri Daugherty and Steve Hindalong (The Choir).
In 2003, they saw the release of the band's first DVD, Via Chicago, a black and white concert film released by Lo-Fidelity Records. A followup DVD, Via Chicago (All We Left Unsaid), containing additional songs from the concert, was released in 2006. Also that year, the band performed a show in Chatsworth, California which featured surprise video tributes by Dick Clark, Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith.
Musically, The Lost Dogs are defined by their beautiful harmonics, guitar playing and their down-to-earth personalities that echo through their music. They tip toe their relaxed indie rock sound through every infulence - especially playing homage to key infulences in Americana, folk, to surf. They shine as brilliant singer/songwriters and storytellers.
Their CD 'Old Angel' captures the stories and magic of America's Glory Road - Route 66. This is one of our favorite projects from them yet. So many of the songs are seriously poignant, yet charmingly eccentricly funny.
Recently they have been invited to play with George Jones, Dierks Bentley and Weird Al. This concert will sell out, buy your tickets now.
Our concerts are done, Living Room Style, meaning simlar to the intimate setting of house concerts, but held in a public venue space with professional production quality - to faciliate a relaxed listening experience defined by community, friendship and artist accessiability.
Taking Place at 19 N Prince St Lancaster PA 17603
