If Chris is gay, I wish him well. Chris comes from a very respected family, but to live openly gay in Garrard County can be hell. Chris you are a beautiful young man. Don't let prehistoric Garrard county destroy you.

Chris-
I am a 42 year old divorced white male and I want you to come to my house tonight to split a deep dish, with pepperoni and extra cheese. Its large and very greasy. Come over and rub a slice on your abs and chest. Let me see your ribbed arms and legs covered in sauce and cheese. Put your legs up on the couch!Let me help you rub pizza in your pits after a hard day. You want pizzapits?? Im your man. Reply with your favorite toppings and I will see what I can do.

You people have no life whatsoever. Chris happens to be one of the nicer people from lancaster. He is from a respectful family so im sure they wont even respond or let these slanderous remarks effect them. Obviouly someone is jeaulous to make up such lies and probably have either been rejected by Davis himself or either has a very small penis and a very big pizza fetish. Leave this kind guy alone. He cares about Garrard county unlike most the welfare drivrn cochroaches that infest it. Now go and tell that homeboy!!!

I should not be, but I continue to be amazed by the stupidity of some people and why there are so many that want to delve into other people's business. I don't even know this person, but so what if he is gay? Who cares?

The way I see it, the more gay men that there are, the more options that this old man might have with the women. hahaha

May 12, 2010. Alex Moore, a 15 year old Jemison High School student in rural Alabama near Birmingham jumped to her death from an interstate overpass Wednesday. The Associated Press and MSNBC are reporting hat fellow students say she “was made fun of daily”. She had lost her older sister in a freak accident (stepped into electrical wires) about 2 years prior. She had trouble with her weight and wasn’t in the “in” clique. Her parents had heard about some bullying, but only recently learned, from apparently sympathetic and apologetic Facebook postings that she was regularly bullied. Indeed some of the postings included statements that the youth were sorry. It is unclear whether the bullying she experienced was offline, or whether it included online harassment. It is also unclear whether her death was more motivated by not being able to get over her sister’s death.

One of her friends posted on Facebook:“I talked to Alex everyday at school. The day before this unfortunate event she told me that she was tired of everything. She couldn’t handle it anymore.”

Like many other sad similar accounts, Alex apparently reached out to some friends and to one school official about some harassment, and the educator apparently responded and spoke to the offending students and “she let the matter drop”.

Commentary: Even for a “normal” teen, adolescence can be a tough time. But some carry a little “extra” burdens of struggling with weight, lack of friends, depression, etc. Then some, like Alex, have heavier burdens, such as grief from the death of her sister. All this is tough enough. But then, they are bullied. Is bullying the “straw that breaks the camel’s back” for some teens at risk? When a student finally gets the “guts” to reach out to someone, maybe that “one” is not enough: we all need to stop and focus and be the ”team” they need to avoid a tradgedy.

On another note, this story is still developing, but the first mentions of “Facebook” in the news stories are about teens who got on Facebook to get the word out about Alex’s mistreatment. Other Facebook postings were apparently to apologize. If true, these would seem to be positive uses of Facebook. Some voices would say that we need to shut off youth access to online tools altogether to protect them. As we have noted in other blogs, the real issue seems to be teaching social maturity both on and offline. Let’s read these stories carefully as they come out.
