Just read in the Advocate Messenger that the tax on our Insurance policies can not be taken off right now. Wilson claims that they can't do anything until next July according to state law and the state has to be notified 100 days before July 1st 2013. I know I have done been billed in my homeowners insurance for another year. All money collected is supposed to be put in a special fund. I have a feeling that come next July there will be another reason why they can't take the tax off of insurance premiums. I am beginning to smell a rat. Ronnie Lane has already suggested doing something else with it. All I know is they promised that the tax would be removed when the hospital debt was paid off but hey when could you ever believe a politician? There is only one thing a citizen can do and that is to vote. Joe Leavell says we will have watch the excess funds and make sure they won't be spent. Just make sure we don't have fox guarding the henhouse.

If you live in the city it is on home and auto insurance premiums.

Believe it or not, there are some in this town that have no idea there is a tax tacked on to our premiums.
