Does anyone know a good dog groomer in the area? My dog needs her nails clipped and I can't tell where the quick starts and the nail starts, and I really really don't want to hurt my baby girl doggie.

Call Lancaster Veterinary on Lex. Rd. Every other Thursday they clip nails for donations. Whatever you can afford. Just call and ask which Thursday.

I take my dogs to Lancaster vet and find them kinda expensive, i took both of my dogs to "Doggy Styles"this past weekend and Becky did an amazing job and reasonably priced. Best grooming they have ever had. The name is funny but she does a great job, is open on weekends too!

The woman who runs The Shaggy Dog at Lancaster Vet only charges me $32 to do my poodle. Other places I've checked want $35-45. I guess it depends on the type of dog you have though. If you need a lower cost veterinarian in general though Dr. Laughlin at the north end of the county is worth the drive. To me anyway.

Isn't there a groomer in the same building as the Garrard County Humane Society? I thought I noticed the sign when we drove by the other day.

I used to take my dogs to K-9 Clips in Berea, until I witnessed one of the groomers being overly rough with the dog she had on the table. I haven't taken them to the one in Berea since and I won't be taking them to the new store in Lancaster. I have tried a couple of groomers in Nicholasville but wasn't impressed. I have started taking my dogs to Doggy Styles in Garrard Co. The lady does a very good job but what impressed me the most is that my dogs don't hesitate at the door when we go back...they run right in with their tails wagging! That spoke volumes to me.

apparently, you can't post phone #'s on here. I tried before and it got deleted. They are listed in the Windstream phonebook. You may find it on the internet...I haven't tried that yet so I don't know if it will work

I used Doggy Styles today for the first time, and my dogs look great. This post here is the reason I actually gave them the call cause I was looking for a new groomer.

I'm really impressed with the fact that My oldest pekingese isn't traumatized as she usually is when taken to the groomer, that said a lot to me. Generally after a trip to the groomers, I spend a day or so talking her out from under the bed. Honestly, I really don't think she cared if she left.

With my youngest, she is a pure streak of evil demon from the pits of hell. Keeping her still and not losing any fingers was an impressive feat in and of itself.

They both look better than they ever have after a grooming, and I didn't get them back smelling like a wet dog. Some type of little perfume stuff, and bows in their hair. The other place I used actually charged EXTRA for that. I had both dogs groomed for what it was costing me for one at the place I was using in Danville.

I'll be using her again in the future and Doggy Styles has my full support!

I took my big labs to Doggy Styles today. It was their first time ever being professionally groomed. She did a great job, they were happy and she is such a sweet lady! Highly recommend her. Fast too!

I read the feedback about Doggy Styles Grooming and used them last weekend. What a wonderful lady! She actually asked me how I wanted the dog done and did it! I don't think a groomer has ever really asked...and if they did, they did it the way they wanted to anyway. My dogs aren't hiding or moping like they usually do after a grooming. Highly recommended!

I used Doggy Styles Grooming until I moved to Stanford. I used a couple of new groomers and not only was I not happy, but my dog went under the bed for about 36 hours after the last groom, Taking her back to Doggy Styles from now on.....I regret going someplace else!
