Inmate Dies at Southern Regional Jail

Why has there not been anything reported about this case. No one has heard any interview or explanation.

We are coming up on the 2 years since this awful tragedy to our family still no comments and still under investigation. Very little info has been provided to the family but some things are a little clearer. Going over hundreds of documents this could have been prevented. So sad we can't go back in time to fix others mistakes. Deadly mistakes.

Yes, it is true that the southern regional jail,in beaver,w.v let a man lie in the holding tank and die. That jail needs something done the dogs at the animal shelther gets better treatment than the inmates at srj in beaver,w.v. The family of the man got money from the jail, and the nurse, and the doctor on call. The man was a arrested he had a drug problem so he swallowed quit abit of drugs in a bag, he thought after he got in there he would get it back up. But the acid in stomach ate thur the bag.The man realized that something was wrong, him and the other men in the cell keep calling for help, they turned them out, thinking they where lying. The man keep yelling telling them he was dying from drugs in his system. They still refused to help the man. Hours later they diidn't hear anything , but the other men still calling for help off and on. Fanilly they go back to the cell and he laided there died on the jail floor. A animal gets more rights than that. Yea, he had done something wrong, he was picked up for not paying his child support.I know this story is the true cause that man was one of my best friends.I know that jail has other problems as of today, and still people look the other way.Yea, they are crimals and they broke the law, but these people are humans. Some of the are mothers, brothers,dads,daughters etc......but they need to be getting better treatment than they are receiving. Maybe we need to call the animal rights people and see if they can help these people, hell if they cal a dog, or a cat, why not a human.I COULD SAY PLENTY MORE BUT I'LL LEAVE THE REST OF THIS CONVERSATION TO YOU PEOPLE NOW. the stuff "a friend" says about SRJ is true....they treat people like shit.everyone in there is not a violent person or even guilty for that matter.they heard you like cattle and FORCE you to take some sort of tuburculousis shot or something.they tell you you don't have to take it but if you don't you cant use the phone or see a magistate.they stuck some sort of needle with god knows what in my arm.they let me lay freezing for 5 hours on the floor in a holding cell.wouldnt get me a blanket.Anyone who defends them better hope they don't go there for some petty misdemeanor or even charged falsely...its pathetic..i have no respect for police or prison gaurds whatsoever after witnessing this.I wouldn't help a cop in any situation
