I saw this show last night and was really disappointed. The seating was very poorly arranged and there was not a good seat anywhere. The sound was so loud that you couldn't hear the person next to you clapping, if anyone did. The video and lighting was not good either. The show itself well it lacked originality and the wow factor. I don't see our tourist wanting to see this show it's something they can see at home and it lacked anything Polynesian.

During our ten day vacation in Maui, we went to a couple of luaus and a local favorite show. We must say that Cirque Polynesia was the highlight of our night life and our kids have not stopped talking about it! I would highly recommend this show. We felt like it was a more intimate version of Cirque du Soleil. If circus isn't your bag, watching the musicians themselves was well worth the money. This was a wonderful way to end our trip to Hawaii and we highly recommend it. I think the Hyatt scored big on this one, including the amazing swimming pool. We'll be back!

Saw the show and had a great time. The performers were incredible. My little girl spent the rest of the night pretending to be one of the acrobats. Would highly recommend this show to anyone looking have a good family experience.

I heard that this production doesn't take care of their performers, which seems to be the only thing going for this sad excuse for a really expensive night show. Did anyone see that cramped little stage and the cheesy convention looking tables outside? What is the Hyatt thinking? They are better than this.

Went to see this show tonight and was extremely disappointed. Not only did the stage set up resemble that of a school play but the costumes were cheesy, the seating was terrible, the musicians were not ACTUALLY playing the instruments but pretending to (and badly). The worst was that although the performers and acrobats were talented, it was EXTREMELY unsafe. There were no nets, harnesses, etc. and while that is impressive, the fact that the seating is so close to the stage puts not only the performers, but the audience in danger of possible equipment falling into the audience. It was like watching a car wreck, you were terrified but didn't want to look away. It was a hodge podge of different people performing and none of them were native to Hawaii. It seemed seedy and inappropriate at times as well. I can not believe the Hyatt would associate themselves with such a production. DO NOT GO TO THIS!

Had a special show on Monday night with the cast of Ula Lena in attendance with a private meet and greet after the show. Both shows agree that more performing art options provide more night out choices for a border audience. The Cirque Polynesia show has received fantastic reviews and favorable comments from visitors and local alike, especially those who have see a lot of Cirque shows around the world. The facts are a lot of our cast members have being together for a more than 3 years and include families where everybody performs and 6 & 7th generation of cirque performers. Our musicians, Danny and Diane actually composed the original sound track and play a variety of instruments to compliment the base track. Listen closely because the quality that you hear is actually being played live! they are gathering quite the fan base for their abilities and stage performance. Nearly 30% of our international cast includes local residents and we continue to seek and train future local artists. We can proudly proclaim that our safety record is perfect. We are also proud of the 30 or so wonderful local Maui employees that are now working for Cirque Polynesia. We are simply all about supporting local performing arts and entertainment. See you at the show and Aloha!

After looking at the website, it says Doug Harris is the managing partner of Cirque Polynesia. Hard to take your comment seriously when it's quite biased (and with all those typos!) Wasn't Cornell Nicholas the Producer of Cirque Hawaii.? They did not have a perfect safety record. I saw that show too and it is almost exactly the same! The tacky additions aren't Polynesian associated. How many locals have actually seen the show? And I mean paying ones? Cause those tickets aren't cheap! Not worth the money. And if the hype is coming from the show's own management... that says something on it's own.

Was Vary happy with the show. Well worth the money. I think the talent was amazing. I love the fact that I got sit so close. Not up far way were all the people look like ants or you can't really tell what they are doing. I really enjoyed that there was an arrangement of artist, a mother daughter team, The two local twins who really show off some ability and strength. The Balancing act and most of all the I LOVED that the Whole cast comes out to meet and greet with the audience. I hope this show the best, And I hope to see it here when I come back next time.

It is obvious to me that a handful of jealous people are trying to put down a wonderful production. Several local shows have been running on Maui for a long time and the fact that there's something new and exciting seems to have ruffled the feathers of some. I've been working in the tourist industry for 20+ years and I think this Cirque show is good for tourism. It also gives us locals something new and fresh to see. These hater bloggers don't realize that they're cutting their own throat by hurting the appeal and diversity of entertainment on Maui. I see it as one more thing positive about our island--one more thing to do. Our mainland friends caught the show last week and absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this to all my local ohana. This is a true family show that all ages can and enjoy. You will smile, you will laugh, and you will be scared at times! Bottom line is there's nothing else like this on Maui. I don't see Cirque Polynesia as a competition or threat to the existing shows. I think all the shows are worth seeing. Let's Live Aloha!

I heard through the "coconut wireless" that the management of this show has been asking it's employees to create screennames on review sites, pretend to be customers, and write good things about this show. That's pretty bad, whether the show is good or not.

I saw the cirque show at the Hyatt. I must say I don't understand people making bad comments. I came Las Vegas on a visit and have seen many shows. I think that it was wonderful all around. Go SEE it!

The comments that are posted are acurate, both positive and negative, don't think that your show is perfect, we all could use some improvement, no matter what we do. Be a little more open minded, and use the negatives, as constructive criticism to improve your game, and that of the show

Way too expensive. Poorly put together for a $75 per head show. I felt it brought down the quality of our Hyatt vacation stay. The show was advertised everywhere on the property showing scenes on monitors and the hotel TV that didn’t even exist in the performance. The music reminded me of a Millie Vanilly concert, lots of movement but not really playing. Being a drummer I watched the percussionist who was entertaining but much of the drumming was prerecorded. You get trapped by the hype and let down by the content. Don’t waste your money unless you did everything else on the island. I felt for the money it was a rip off and so did the other families that went with us. And yes I agree is did feel like a high school show. Sorry for the thumbs down but we complained to the front desk but they didn’t respond so I feel like warning others. Not too classy on the Hyatt’s part.
