It is a needed quality of life facility. Was never intended to be a money maker. Cove is a growing community and we need all the quality of life facilities we have to attract businesses and families to move here.
Your taxes have never been raised to support the golf course. The funds to support the golf course do come out of the general fund, just like a few of the other quality of life facilities.

I agree, but I do wish it would at least break even. As our population continues to grow it will eventually happen. Let's cross our fingers.

Another similar blog had someone suggesting to go and check the course out.
I did. Certainly not a great golf course, but then neither is Killeen and other courses around here.
More people playing is really the only way to increase revenue. Charge too much for green fees and you will lose participation.
