Indigenous to where?? Here? How about mexico. The farmers love, love, love, their cheap slave labor!!
We get stuck dealing with all of the crime these desperate people bring to the area. While the fat big money farmers get rich of off the backs of the workers. Sicking.
what about an exhibit that honors the poor tax payers that have to live and deal with all of these Immigrants and the BS they bring?? It can have lots of tagging art, pictures of stabbing victims, pictures of over run schools, vacant hospitals, etc.. That would great.

This land was indigenous to the Ohlone Indians, not the Mexicans. The Mexican race is only 500 years old. It began with Cortes and La Malinche. Indigenous land for the Mexicans is Southern Mexico/Central America and Spain.

Indigenous? No. Amerindian? Maybe.

amerindian:
noun
any member of the peoples living in North or South America before the Europeans arrived

indigenous:
adjective
originating in and characteristic of a particular region or country; native (often fol. by to): the plants indigenous to Canada; the indigenous peoples of southern Africa.

The use of this buzzword is no accident.

The corporate media (Sentinel) are first & foremost a propaganda organ for corporate interests -- that should be obvious!

Corporate interests perceive an ever-bigger supply of overbreeding border-hopping desperados to be an ideal source of ever-cheaper labor -- that should be obvious!

"Corporate interests" spend literally BILLIONS on PR -- so they've learned to incorporate oh-so-sensitive PC jargon into their cynical bottom-line corporate agenda, especially in a lefty town like Santa Cruz -- that should be obvious!
