Don't know about that but I'm sure glad the old counselor is gone! Now she was either prejudice or just plain unhappy with her job either way I couldn't stand dealing with her.

You people don't know jack. I had a son play for that man and he was a helluva coach. I have 2 grand kids at South and he has changed the whole feel there. Take your spineless ass up there and talk to Coach Torbert yourself, if you have the balls to say the same thing to his face.

I havent really met him but so far my daughter hasnt had any trouble so no complaints here

He is a good man. First good principal that south has had in quite a while. People saying negative things is just cause they dont get their way with something. He is very good with the young kids and was awsome with the football guys.

He dont smile much but i do hear he dislikes certain people of race, plus he puts an upfront to show hes equal n fair with everyone.

First he is far from racist and second a good principal. He has done wonders at south!

Ok my child attends out there and she loves it, she has not had any problems out there! I did how ever have a niece who had a problem last year, i spoke my concern with Mr.Torbert. and he took care of it, he is a wonderful Principal and he was a great Coach! He is a fine man all the way around he is firmly planted in his believes and is far from prejudice. Hello look where he was before he move to Lamesa. Thats the problem with this town we get something good and some1 always has to talk crap!

My daughter will be at North soon anything I have to know about including teachers, assistant principal, or principal? What are the TA's like?

They need to make the man our Superintendent! Maybe he could do for the district what he has for South. It used to be the most screwed up school in town and I know a lot of parents think its the best in town now. Torbert fixed it in less than 2 years, maybe he could do the same for LISD.

I'm for him being superintendent! he recently took his test and pasted, maybe this is something that should be brought up in person at the next meeting. time for our town to show this family that they mean something to this town and that we believe in them.

Somebody needs to talk to board members! We know what we got in Tobert, we don't need somebody from the outside that doesn't know Lamesa. Whether you like it or not Lamesa schools have issues only someone from here knows and can try to fix now. not in 5 or 6 years it would take by someone that doesn't live in town or been here for while. Not real sure I trust our hs principal because he refuses to live in Lamesa and he grew up here! Mrs, Tobert is the best sub we have too, she loves us but makes us work. I agree this family has given a lot to Lamesa and if we don't watch out another school will get em both! They have both made a big difference.

Coach Torbert is the best I've ever worked for. He is a great leader of employees and kids. I don't work there anymore, but he is the obvious choice for Superintendent. His style reminds me of Mr. Bryant...just do it.
