Many businesses will hire a 15 yr old. She/He needs to stomp the pavement and look/act more respectable & responsible than the age presents. The parent shouldn't go find a job for the child. An employer will see that as lazy. My child worked right after her 15th bday. Her fellow co-workers liked her and taught her quite a bit about work ethic and being accountable. If a 15 yr old REALLY wants a job, they're out there. Not McDonalds, though. Policy is against it. United will, but have a waiting list. Apply online. Research each place before you go in, look the part, have recommendations on hand (from teachers, clergy, volunteer, etc., and sell yourself! You have to be smarter, quicker, and better than others.
