Mother of slain boy: 'The family really needs closure'

By THOMAS JENKINS Staff Writer An arrest has been made in connection with the May 30 shooting death of a 16-year-old Big Spring youth, officials with the Big Spring Police Department announced Friday afternoon.

Well, the Lamesa paper says that he was the trigger man in a double shooting in Big Spring, which resulted in the very untimely death of a 16 year old boy. The other boy was treated 4 gunshot wounds and released.The article in the paper is kind of vague and evasive, but maybe that's just some preliminary shit and they'll give us more info soon. If u guys' find out sooner, keep me updated please.

My nepehew was his homeboy!!! Apparently the dumb ass shot the wrong person!!!! He had issues with some dudes in bs when he walked up to front whoever was talking crap, the 16 year old turned and said this is not my problem and when he turned to walk away the jerk shot him!!!! I hope he gets what he deserves!!!!!

everybody should stop talking because that kid that got killed probably started it, the famnily is most likely not bringing stuff up like he was the one talking crap in the street when they passed by, the kid chris does not deserve to be talked about like this, im pretty sure it was a self defense deal but police and citizens wont believe it, maybe even revenge, that guy must have done or said something real messed up to get blasted in the head like that, him and his freidn. not to sound real bad or anything, but theres two sides to a story, its not like that guy went and shot him for nothing, and its not like he just walked up at the party shot and than left, at least half the kids there knew him im betting

he did shoot the wrong kid and there isn't a kid in this world that needs to have a gun in reach much less in his hand. there aren't enough words in the world that should make anyone want to kill. kids killin kids over dum shit and this kid deserves to be locked up and so does the person that gave him the gun!!!!!!!!!

Man I honestly think u are one of the dumbest assholes in America. U really shouldn't say things like that u stupid-ass. I wish u would say your real name on here, so that kid's poor family could go by your house and teach YOU a lesson.( My real name is Leonard Lopez, by the way.) Because its guys like u that get people killed like this poor CHILD was killed! Off and on I've served over 10 years of my life in the Texas prison system and I've seen my share of violent crime homeboy, but I never lost sight of what was right and what was wrong. When killing is necessary, defending your family's health and well being, or protecting yourself from being murdered, then I am all for it, but this kid was minding his own business at a residence where he felt he was in no danger, and was shown no mercy by another CHILD, who shot him in the back!! COWARDLY nonetheless. So hide behind your lil' moniker asshole, because u know that u are in the wrong and I sincerely hope someone gets the chance to put u in your place.

doesn't matter who said what, why in the hell is a kid carrying a gun in the first place ? He was gonna get in trouble sooner or later and the poor boy that died paid the price for for chris' stupid mistake
