This is not only happening in state prisons it's happening in federal prisons too with shortage of staff. Correctional staff are tired of working or being manditoried to work overtime causing them not to be as efficient at work or just calling in just to get a day off. Then the supervisors are having to follow company policy and discipline staff for calling in. The overtime pay is great to some people but being short staff and having to risk your life to run a unit is not worth it.The oilfield companies are our main competitors and there is now sign of it slowing down in the future.
