At least the team is putting major points up on that board this year!!!!!!!! Cant remember the last time lamesa had 70 points on the board from 1 game rather than all together. In my opinion, im kind of half and half on this because if the school district makes all the kids cover up piercings and body art in school then the football players should too since there represesnting lamesa too. It should all be equal but on the other hand too, What about the pregnant girls????? Do you all want them to cover up their bellies too????? But instead their flaunting their bellies in lamesa shirts too so doesnt it all even out?????

Students who are on sports teams or extracuricular teams represent our school to other schools. These students should be the ones who show pride and dicipline. I doubt you see a pregnant student playing sports with a team jersey on. If she wants to be a good role model then maybe she can focus of talking to other teens about teen pregnancy and on trying to be a great mom and student.

I am proud of our athletic teams. They work very hard, whether they win or loose games.

but they are also allowing a lot of points as well. That means there is no defense. You have to play defense in order to keep the other team from scoring. That how a team wins is from preventing the opponent from scoring.

Your opponent played defense they allowed only 10 points. Yet you allowed them to score 48 points.

Damn all yall people do is talk crap, dont yall think we want to win 2. We work our ass off at practice were all tired of losing, but how can we ever win if our own town talks crap about us telling us we suck and shit. It seems like all yall people that talk crap just show up to the game to see how many mistakes we make, or how bad we lose. All im gonna ask its if you think its so easy, put your money where your mouth is and go practice atleast one day with us.

If they are school kids it does matter. With all the nonsense of rules they passed that is one of the rules. Tattoos must be covered,no piercings for boys, hair to the collar on boys and shirts tucked in with belts. Rules should and do apply when at a school event. If the tattoo rule isn't going to be followed then neither should the rest.
. If teachers have to cover so should students

Maybe you can use this as motivation. Work harder. These other teams must be working much more harder then ya'll cuz they are not just beating ya'll they are playing like actual tornados and destroying ya'll. From my understanding your headcoach was the former headcoach from lastnights opponent. There must have been a reason they let him go... like not winning. Lamesa needs Tim James back because he had a decent system. Wasn't always perfect but it worked. But maybe its not the coach but the athletes. The athletes are not athletic. The end.

Agreed teachers should have to follow the exact same rules as the students. That isn't fair to the students when the teachers get to have facial hair and the male students don't it should be up to the student whether they want to shave or not. 6th graders have to shave any facial hair they have that's totally stupid their barely starting puberty and growing that hair I'm sure it's disappointing to some to have to get rid of it. Teachers should have to cover every tattoo visible when teaching I wouldn't want to walk in my child's classroom and see some inked up teacher teaching my child. If teachers want to show of their tats find another proffesion.Sorry but that just wouldnt look right or make me feel comfortable. I know just because a person gets a tattoo doesn't make them bad. But teachers are suppose carry themselves professionally and showing their tats isn't professional. Is that not why lamesa independent passed all those stupid rules to look better. Sure isn't because they thought it would improve students scores. No matter what they do those rules are not going to help the students academically. I wish teachers would just stick to teaching and leave all their escapade stories to themselves then maybe lamesa students will improve some on their test scores. As far as lamesa losing every game well the coaches either can't coach or the players just ain't good enough! Maybe those kids need to find something else for extracurricular activities! Try reading every now and then kids don't do enough of that nowadays.

Guy's it not the kids fault it's the parents this forum has nothing to do with winning or losing it's the parenting skills n rules and dealing with the consequence of the choices they make if they have tattoos and if it is a rule then they shouldn't represent our team same as a girl if she gets pregnant she has to TC of her baby and that's it so its stupid to talk down on the kids its the parents y'all should b talking about and coach for letting this happen a tattoo can b removed with money n time a baby will grow up with time and of course money so take this up with the school board and remember we all make mistakes

Kolt Moreland can't throw a pass to save his life. Maybe if the coach would switch him out they could win.
