Why does it matter? It's their body and they are not doing anything wrong!

are you positive, beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were real tattoos? and what does it matter if they were real tattoos? just because a person has ink doesn't mean they are a bad person.

If they are school kids it does matter. With all the nonsense of rules they passed that is one of the rules. Tattoos must be covered,no piercings for boys, hair to the collar on boys and shirts tucked in with belts. Rules should and do apply when at a school event. If the tattoo rule isn't going to be followed then neither should the rest.

Its not what u wear or what kinda of piercings u have or even what kind of tattos u have. Last i checked its freedom of expression!!! I have tattos in fact my whole family does!!! So these is dumb, stupid and last i checked there are more important issues to argue over than this so move on and get over it!!!!

I repeat. Ink does not make you a bad person. I understand that the new rules are that kids are to behave in a good manner in and out of school. How can a tattoo be akin to bad behavior? I have multiple tattoos and piercings and yet I am a good mother and wife. I have manners. Say ma'am and sir.. I know wrong from right. I love my country, my state, and my family. I express myself through the art I wear on my skin.
Now these kids that have these tattoos may be 18. Legal age to get tattoos. So how are you to stop them from getting or showing their tattoos? I say don't. Because the more you push these more than likely good kids to cover there expression the more likely you will push them off the deep end and then they will turn bad.
Sorry for all the rambling lol

you have an awesome point there, citizen. the tattoos shouldn't matter at all. rather than saying "oh those boys should cover their tattoos!" we should be cheering "Go Team, Go!" win or lose those kids need to hear their home team cheering for them!

another excellent point. it's hard for me to understand why the enrollment is shrinking. many say its because parents are sending their kids to surrounding communities or homeschooling. then i hear that its the teachers are not putting forth the effort. i would love to move back to my hometown of lamesa but the schools curriculum is what stops me. i don't see lamesa with the resources to help kids learn. i know where i am is not the best in the state or country but i have seen the results and am confident that my child is learning and the teachers know what they are doing.

Tattoos should be the least your worries Angie these kids deserve a chance football or athletics is probably why they go to school. Its your ignorance thats puts our small town down, tattoos do not make a person and for those you who putting lamesa down our numbers are up and putting the football team down dont you know they played the #6 team in the state and these teachers do care and instead of being a problem think of a solution to better education here in LAMESA

Just my opinions but these students on our athletic teams represent our school. They need to be the ones that show discipline and respect towards others and our school. Tattoos can be covered up with tape during the games.
As far as teachers there are some good ones that do care about their students success. I think students get tired of all the testing and teaching to the test. Choir isn't even available now. They need fun things to do in school besides just worrying about the testing. There will always be great teachers and not so great ones. Just like students there are ones that really care about their success and ones that don't.

You kids don't need to worry about tattoos and need to worry about winning. Lamesa dropped down to 2A and still can not win. Its a disgrace. Lamesas program was successful from 98-01 making playoff all those seasons and almost to state. Now that can not win a damn game.
