Lambertville looking into house for immigrants

Lambertville officials launched an investigation into an illegal boardinghouse yesterday, where, authorities claimed, 30 people -- including 10 children -- were living in unsanitary conditions a week ago.

I assume the people living there are legal immigrants. I don't understand why you would not report those conditions to the board of health. What were these people afraid of?

You assumed wrong. Many were certainly were not "legal immigrants".

It is certainly not the only illegal boarding house in this small town.

30 people in a 1000 sq. foot row home is unacceptable.
