80 degrees by Sunday? Maybe you better quit getting your forecasts from those taxpayer funded scientists of yours:
http://fox8.com/weather/
It is now 70 degrees which is 17 degrees above our "normal" high. How many weeks have we spent this season with 17 degrees below the normal high this season? Lets' see, one day above normal, 50 days below normal. You're right, it's global warming.
No it's called climate change and the fact that the climate scientists accurately predicted extreme cold temps in no way is a victory for you. Also, you skipped over the 30,000 record high temps we had in one year. Let's subtract 50 cold days from 30,000 record high temps. Yep, it's global warming...son. Now go put out that cigarette because us hardworking Americans are tired of paying higher medical bills due to spineless, weak willed free loading addicts like yourself. driving a vehicle is not rocket science. It is above way to many peoples ability though. The ability to read a fuel pump is also not rocket science. You are exactly correct Obama's staff filled the limo with gas ruining the engine. The filler door that says diesel only was written in English, and evidently over their head.

backing up using only mirrors is something every boat owner and camper owner does
time they hitch up.

I can thread a needle with a trailer using only side mirrors, and do it with every launch and then parking trailers between others with just inches between them.

You should try pulling a boat in Cincinnati rush hour traffic to Lake Cumberland with 17,000 pounds behind you on the hills. When nutjobs cut you off with 200 gallons of gasoline in the tank, the boat is a rolling bomb awaiting a teenage girl texting.

A semi tractor weighs triple a diesel pickup. My boat on the trailer is 13 feet from ground to top of radar arch. Forgetting to put antennas down is very expensive, and bridges collect them without a warning. I am 4 inches from a state mandated escort for wide load. Do you suppose the manufacturer did that by accident?

West Marine loves exercised stupidly explained above. I am a repeat offender.

a semi hitched to a 53 foot trailer is 2 feet longer than my truck hitched to the boat. I measured when parking next to them a fueling stations.

try backing up on a boat ramp where the trailer disappears because it is lower than tow vehicle, and gravity is pulling you towards water. The ramp has inches of room on the sides remaining, and a mistake is epic.

Yes I always leave windows open and ready to bail out if tragedy occurs. Brainless would be trusting the transmission not to break, or gravity to be on strike.

My occupation is one that 99% of people can't do. It also only pays when success is achieved.

Would you work knowing you only get paid if you accomplish something, and you are rejected more than accepted as a normal outcome?

above really does not matter because working in a cube farm is not me and possibly what you excel at.

we all are different.......how is that for rocket science?

It doesn't matter what or how much you charge tax on anything. The way the libs waste our money, there isn't enough money in the world to lower the debt now. You know, things like $700,000 for a theater show on global warming?

Typical lib though, attack cigarette smokers and legalize pot so our children have easier access to it. A typical lib that doesn't understand economics 101 which states taking money out of society (be it sin taxes, taxes on the wealthy, gasoline taxes) reduces circulation of currency because of the reduction of residual income. But the reason our economy sucks is because of Bush and the Republicans according to libs. It can't be anything the Democrats dream up.

Try driving a vehicle that weighs 75,000 pounds and the same thing happens.

There are easy parts of driving and difficult parts. Backing up in daylight is not that bad nor are making tight turns onto side streets which we do from time to time. The challenging part is when you can't see your trailer backing into inside docks. The sun certainly is no help and neither are the customers that have poor or no lighting in the building.

Plus you should try driving that boat around town in snowstorms or icy conditions. That's a whole different driving. I see these truckers from the south driving with their mouth wide open and their head actually over their steering wheel as if they are going to see any better. Others think that it's like driving in the rain until they end up turning the truck over into middle of the highway. It happens every snowstorm.

Truck driving does not require a PhD, but it requires a lot of experience, skill and most of all, common sense, which 50% of the people driving today just don't have.

Watch out folks, here comes the global warming expert truck driver:

World's top climate scientists confess: Global warming is just QUARTER what we thought - and computers got the effects of greenhouse gases wrong
Leaked report reveals the world has warmed at quarter the rate claimed by IPCC in 2007
Scientists accept their computers may have exaggerated

A leaked copy of the world’s most authoritative climate study reveals scientific forecasts of imminent doom were drastically wrong.

The Mail on Sunday has obtained the final draft of a report to be published later this month by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the ultimate watchdog whose massive, six-yearly ‘assessments’ are accepted by environmentalists, politicians and experts as the gospel of climate science.

They are cited worldwide to justify swingeing fossil fuel taxes and subsidies for ‘renewable’ energy.

Yet the leaked report makes the extraordinary concession that over the past 15 years, recorded world temperatures have increased at only a quarter of the rate of IPCC claimed when it published its last assessment in 2007.

Back then, it said observed warming over the 15 years from 1990-2005 had taken place at a rate of 0.2C per decade, and it predicted this would continue for the following 20 years, on the basis of forecasts made by computer climate models.

WOW! What about NASA?

Report: 95 percent of global warming models are wrong
3:30 PM 02/11/2014

Environmentalists and Democrats often cite a “97 percent” consensus among climate scientists about global warming. But they never cite estimates that 95 percent of climate models predicting global temperature rises have been wrong.

Former NASA scientist Dr. Roy Spencer says that climate models used by government agencies to create policies “have failed miserably.” Spencer analyzed 90 climate models against surface temperature and satellite temperature data, and found that more than 95 percent of the models “have over-forecast the warming trend since 1979, whether we use their own surface temperature dataset (HadCRUT4), or our satellite dataset of lower tropospheric temperatures (UAH).”

“I am growing weary of the variety of emotional, misleading, and policy-useless statements like ‘most warming since the 1950s is human caused’ or ‘97% of climate scientists agree humans are contributing to warming’, neither of which leads to the conclusion we need to substantially increase energy prices and freeze and starve more poor people to death for the greater good. Yet, that is the direction we are heading,”

the responsibility of driving that truck is what you receive pay for.

I have driven the boat in the snow and did not like it a bit. My hands hurt for a week from the white knuckles. I only had to pull it about 20 miles, and that was 20 to many.

50% of drivers forget they can kill instantly for being stupid.

I drive lots for someone not paid for doing so. I am a traffic hazard with cruise set at 75 on I71.

last week on way home from cincinnati I was in right lane 75 on cruise control, and constantly being trapped by people I passed 3 times already. When I had enough of it I showed the idiots real immediate speed.

I pulled directly in front of a chick who could not hold constant speed, and showed her E85 tune with fire coming out the exhaust. Car goes from 75 to 150 in about 500 yards. I went by a state patrolman who must have seen the occurrence, and he pulled her over. Maybe he took easy pickings.

Car has onboard computer that keeps average speed. it resets with each start. I figured I was toast and was going to playback my speed for past 2 hours. It would have done nothing I am sure, but the state cars have zero chance of catching car by themselves. my pulling over I hoped would achive brownie points.

I won't be doing that again on 71. That car I drive is absolutely amazing the power it produces with a tiny engine. You and I could lift it without a hoist no problem. After i voided the warranty in the 1st week with aftermarket parts and pro tune...dyno 452 HP to the ground with all wheel drive. Alcohol tune makes this pup a nasty beast, and so far no corvette or BMW is even a challenge.

in the twisties nothing can touch it....nothing.

2014 Mitsubishi Evolution MR Touring, and Slow Motion Motorsports hop up and tune. look on youtube where evo races world class skiers down the slope. that video made me buy the car.

I was parroting Mutt's use of the 'rocket scientist' comment. I have towed a boat to Laurel Lake a number of times & Dale Hollow too. I can attest to all of your points.
I have driven trucks with 28' boxes. And towed many a trailer.
I have never driven a big rig but I know that I don't want to.
XXX has been a little inconsistent & may deserve some of the shots at him. I just don't see the validity or intelligence to denigrate ALL truck drivers like Mutt has been doing. Make the insults specific to the 'target' NOT any entire field & then also in a very exaggerated degree & ridiculous way.
I'm not defending XXX specifically but ALL truckers in general. It takes a certain skill & demeanor to do that job. Like you said,(paraphrasing) it isn't for everyone.

I don't know what you mean by "inconsistent" and "deserving of shots" but I do appreciate your support for all of us truck drivers. Especially with those who claim how easy it all is when they've probably never set foot in a truck yet alone drove one. I would even bet that some here don't even have a drivers license. LOL!
