How much time would he have gotten if he stayed at the scene?
How much time would he have gotten if he stayed at the scene and was drunk?
Just trying to figure out if it's worth staying or leaving.

He got off extremely easy considering his record and the fact that he ran and hid the truck at his daddies house like a little kid. His father should face charges for assisting him by hiding the truck in his backyard.

That sentence disgusts me. I wonder who he or his family knows to get such a light sentence for basically killing someone.

Country is backwards. If you sell drugs they give you longer than that but a human life is worth only 2.5 years.

This guy should have gotten much more than 2.5 years. The 2.5 years should be for fleeing the scene, and then several more years for the flower man's death (whether or not he seen the guys crossing or not, he fled and that changes him to automatic guilty). Some time for the injuries to the other pedestrian also.

Also, make the guy carry around a bouquet of flowers all day, every day in prison. Bet his behind will be so sore, he'll never be able to sit down!

2 and half years for a human life!!!WTF? I bet if I had done something like that I would've got at least 15 yrs I'm just saying....Sounds about as bad as the woman who sat on her husband/boyfriend and left jail on probation at sentencing. What are these judges smoking??
