Cleveland OH Police Ignore Domestic Violence Issues

Ariel Castro, kidnapped three teenagers ten years ago, holding them against their will and torturing them for all of those ten years. How could this happen? Police are dull to domestic violence these days. They would rather be hanging out at the local burger joint than taking domestic problems seriously. Clearly, the police dept of Cleveland, OH should be sued for neglect and each individual police officer within that dept should also be sued. When are people going to step up and take action against these police abuses with lawsuits?
Women were kept in chains in a basement and tortured for an entire decade. Castro aborted numerous babies of the women by beating the women in the stomachs and starving them.
My question is- how could police, neighbors, and relatives not have seen the warning signs and clues through the years? The yard had chains in it, the windows were boarded down, they probably heard noises such as screams and yelling... Who can turn a deaf ear to domestic violence? The police do that all the time. That is why there is so much domestic violence in our country today.
What about the attorney and others wanting to collect money for those victims? What percentage are they going to take for managing that fund and will the victims ever see much of that money at all?
No human being should ever go through that terrible ordeal. But there are unheard stories of domestic abuse throughout the country every day in the tens of thousands. What about helping out human beings from time to time? What happened to morals from decades ago when people cared about their neighbors and relatives or citizens who live within the county?

There have been 2 special short reports on the television media regarding the 3 kidnapped, imprisoned, raped girls-a woman called the Cleveland police about a chained naked woman in the yard of that house owned and dominated by Ariel Castro. The woman caller explained the Cleveland Police did not take her seriously and never came to investigate. In another case, a man, months after the first kidnapping, called the Cleveland Police when he saw a car at a traffic light stop and the girl inside looked like one of the missing girl, he told the police and even gave sometype of color description and license plate number description, but he was not taken seriously by the police; probably because he did not say she was definately that girl kidnapped. Yes, the Ceveland police missed their clues, because they wanted to, and then the Cleveland police denied such calls ever took place, to shield embarrassment and mistrust, by claiming there were no record of these calls. Obviously, if there is no police record of these calls-the phone companies would have such records in storage-to the police there is no record of these calls because the police did not create a record for such calls.

They are cops not detectives, people.

BUT there ARE detectives within the departments that the COPS work!!!! SO if the COPS didn't want to follow-up on the tips, then they could have always passed the info off to the DETECTIVES!!! That's what Detectives do...INVESTIGATE!!!!
