If you have to go to the hospital, have an advocate with you at admissions as well as each day you are there.
Keep a journal of what meds are being prescribed as well as the type of procedures that are being ordered. Ask for a DETAILED log of the charges before you pay the bill.
Hospitals routinely overcharge and expect you to be too sick to notice or object. Let your advocate help you with this.
All those visits from the various doctors are being rung up each time they spend 10 minutes with you.
