Wow...Hilliard didn't make the list, yet they have the highest paid teachers. Maybe there's no correlation between how much you pay a teacher and how well the students do. Maybe the correlation is between how much you pay a teacher and how strong the teacher's union is. Or how much you pay a teacher and how poor your school board's netotiating skills are?

Or how involved the parents are in their children's education? Teachers have your kids 30 hours a week. The remaining 138 are your responsibility. Sorry there's no union to help but you knew that going in.

Or maybe the liberal teachers don't actually spending the entire 30 hours per week teaching them reading, writing, math and science. Instead they spend most of the time indoctrinating your children with Obama's progressive/socialist/marxist agenda!

The highest correlation is between the income level of the parents and how well the students achieve. It always has been it probably always will be. Other factors can help to raise levels of achievement, but income level is king.

Whether a mistake or not, I will guarantee you that this "recognition" will end up on a school district employee's resume as an "accomplishment".

Or maybe the correlation is between how much time parents spend complaining about teachers vs. how much time they spend involving themselves with the lives of their own children.
