Mr. Animal Control Officer - I'm sorry to hear about your injuries. I do hope that you heal quickly and have a 100% recovery.
Mr. Reyes - why are the four remaining dogs being killed? What is their crime? The story, as it is printed, explains that one man, in an attempt to capture one dog, was bitten. I'm sure this can be translated to: One man, with a long pole, trying to corner one dog, that became defensive and fought for its survival.
Again, what did the other dogs do?
The story indicates the owner was voluntarily surrendering three dogs. Was the owner asked to leash the dog before surrendering?
If these were Golden Retirevers, would all five have to die?
This is indeed a sad story.

Thats my aunt and she is not a evil person she would have never allowed her dogs to attack on purpose. She was voluntarily abiding by the law she never could forsee this would happen. I also feel sorry for the animal control person. his is truly sad for both parties involved two peoples lives destroyed. My aunt is a really good person this has to be devastating to her truly.

Here again ALL dogs are territorial. They are like people when we get cornered by someone bigger than us. Everyone says my dog wont do that because it is not a pitbull. Well guess people dogs do whatever is necessary when they have to. Unlike people dogs don't have brains developed like ours so thye cant rationalize. IT IS A INVOLUNTARY reaction. Not to be mean to the animal control officer but it comes with the job. I JUST HOPE IS GOING TO RECOVER. Also I intend on doing his job when i get my degree and talk to SPCA. I would much rather be bitten by a dog then gunned down by a retard with a gun and no brain to use.

Well unfortunatley criminal charges are being taken against my aunt and the sad thing about it the dog didnt come out of his comfort zone the officer came into his space maybe he should have made sure the dog was tied up before going in the back. My aunt should have made sure he was tied up but she never thought he would attack anyone kids and everybody goes around that dog.I cant stop thinking of the pain it has caused the animal control officer and my aunt. Dogs are like family and everybodies life has been changed since that has happened.

Tara : I read the story and seen the TV news interview etc, The dog officer did everything wrong and left 5 dogs dead and a grieving elderly nice lady as a result of his incompetence. How is your Aunt doing ? I hope she is OK. Little French Bull dogs or Jack Russell's would sure fill her vacuum in her life. |
