ALAN: Right now what is most highly esteemed amongst our Christian friends is marriage and keeping it out of the hands of homosexuals. So according to Luke 16:15 the highly esteemed marriage,[heterosexual marriage], is an abomination.

Instead, we get self rightous religous diatribe's that don't even make sense have the time. And when you ask for clarification you get, what???

Do you approve of Lula's post, Sapo?
I couldn't have said it better. Enoch has an appalling level of ignorance on the roles of the 3 branches of government. He also seems to have an ignorance of the admonishment to "love thy neighbor". His intent here is not to discuss the issue but merely to thumb his nose and gloat over prop 8. Now, one must ask, what is the psychological mechanism that causes him to repeatedly return to gloat rather than discuss? My guess, based on the evidence I have seen, is that it makes him feel a bit more masculine. He has his own issues about his own sense of masculinity. He is also insecure about being black, as every sentence in his profile article mentions being a black male. My guess is that he is not really as involved in the black community, as he professes. His profile seems to make the point that he is superior to other back males and that he is concerned about their well being. The fact that he repeats it ad naseum and seems to have a low opinion of other blacks is an indication that his concern is limited. More talk than action. His knowledge of the black community is a bit one dimensional, to say the least. You will notice that he is rather weak and that when I brought up some issues in the black community related to gays, he basically began to whimper and whine. He is insecure in his blackness and will show these posts to other men in the black community in an attempt to connect with them. He does not have a strong sense of connection with other black males. You will also note that his photo shows him not with a woman, but rather, with a child. He identifies more with the child than with his wife, if he even has one. He likely shows his posts to friends to prove to them that he is a real man, indicating that he is insecure about his masculinity. I didn't have much to go on as his posts are repetitive but I have experience in writing psychosocial profiles and have an high degree of accuracy.

I think you set a tone here: Love thy neighbor. I'm going to see how many violate that rule.

Some folks at another thread were joyous that our President got a shoe throw at him. Other wished he would have got hit. No love there!

Maybe there is a new Illinois motto:
Illinois: where our governor makes license plates

Or,
Shoes don't kill people. People kill people.

The National Shoe Assn.

DAY WITHOUT A GAY FIZZLES

Someone imagined tens of thousands of gays and gay-friendlies calling in "gay" last Wednesday and filling the streets in solidarity, like we saw during the immigration protests and work shutdowns of 2006.

If you're going to dream, you may as well dream big.

The call for a "Day without a Gay" came from some gay-marriage advocates who wanted to make a point in the wake of Proposition 8's passage.

However, the point made was that they were poor organizers with an idea many fellow Prop. 8 foes thought was stupid. Several said so on the Total Buzz blog, among other places.

Two of Orange County's big employers, the County of Orange and Disneyland, reported no impact. Indeed, there was virtually no indication of the boycott here or even in San Francisco.

Whatever Enoch. It just comes to show we all have our our own conscience as to what, when, and how to protest. I didn't partake in the day without a gay because I felt it would have unfairly penalized my rather progressive employers. In contrast, I will be attending the candle light vigil tomorrow night where many of us will gather to sing holiday songs in a show of good will.

... I have to wonder too if it was my letter to Impact that sparked the idea. The design of the protest is exactly how I suggested it to them two months ago.

Mark should have had the legal right to a marriage certificate with the consenting adult of his choice.
If the TV movie was accurate, Mark Bingham was a self centered jackass who felt he could arrive late at the airport and cut in front of everyone else in the security line.

IF TRUE, the world is better off without him.
