Sorry to see Ruby's go. More closures to follow as Measure N forces major area Hotels to close their doors in Long Beach.
2013 will be a very exciting time for Unite HERE and the Euro Socialist City Hall crowd who Hate business and want to dramatically increase area unemployment. Those least interested in a prosperous future for Long Beach are winning.

It was crap boring commercial food. Hey, I lived in Old Town SB for ten years. A decent Coffee House would be OK, since at least one could have Coffee and danish, and be inside away from the elements. In addition to a real NY style hot dog stand. That's about it. Otherwise, no more theme overpriced restaurants.

I always liked the contrast between the tourists and squares inside the restaurant, and the scruffy people outside on the pier. Sorry to see Ruby's go, I hope a replacement moves in soon.

I'm amazed people actually fish off that pier, and eat what they catch. I can't eat anything that has three and a half glowing eyes looking back at me.
