Hit by a pickup truck ... let me guess, white pickup, driver speeding, has to be at the job site at 6, waited til the last minute to get on the road.

Try driving on the freeway any morning between 5 and 6 am, you take your life in your hands with the white pickup trucks recklessly speeding in the dark.

I doubt this driver will be criminally charged, but this is a terrible memory that he will carry for the rest of his life.

Slow down!

OK, the news story indicates the vehicle involved in the accident was a SUV. But why was he out driving around in such a hurry at 5:40 am on a Saturday? If he was heading to work, the analysis is unchanged.

I read it was a 31 year old female driver that was interviewed and released. The location where the woman was stuck from what I read was not in a crosswalk and is kind of dark. I live nearby that area. While I agree there are too many speeders out there, this read to me as a tragic accident involving an elderly pedestrian that was crossing where she should not have been. So sad for all involved!
