Give Him a Break

Obviously, he didn't intend to kill his friend, or he wouldn't have called the police and admitted to everything. That doesn't make it right, but give the guy a break. I'm sure he feels worse than anybody about it.

I personally know Mr. Reynolds and a inherently violent person he is not. I feel bad for all in this situation but I would personally believe Charlie in this situation.

I bet when you said someone just crawled in bed with my wife and 2 year old child they would be in warp speed to get there and resolve it without someone riding away in a hearse....... Okay....call it thinking outside the box.

This brings to mind the need for bat-control. Looks like his friend was going for a darwin award anyway. Gotta say, back in the day I was at many parties with many drunken people and I never saw worse than fists flying. Can't just write this off as a regrettable drunk. It will get pleaded down and he will do a few years. Doing some time will probably help him deal with the guilt better than no punishment at all.

Murder is murder!!! even in self-defense? We weren't there and yes it is unfortunate things went down as they did, but lets not pretend like we know all the details. lets let the legal system do it's job and once the facts and details are all there we can assume justice will be served one way or another.

You guys have no idea what happened as far as giving him a break for 2nd degree murder, I wish we had the death penalty what gives Chuck the right to live after taking a life, I sure as heck don't want to pay taxes for that scum ass. There is a motive which you people don't know and it has to deal with Chuck cheating on his wife and 2 year old daughter with a long time friend of Josh's and Kristines and to the female you know who you are. I hope you live with this for the rest of your life, and realize what your actions caused death of your best friends husband
What the hell do you mean skare was wrong? Skare was not the one cheating on his wife Chang

Wow. All of you are just completly acting like 3 year olds. Do we really have to get pissed at eachother when we are supporting our opinions? I don't think we have the right to execute this story because we know no details. As for this story, my uncle is one of the cops that showed up there here in lakeville, and I live next to these people. I KNOW the whole story personally, so if you have any questions just ask me. I know everything that happened

And if he had beat him to death with his fists, would it be called an accident. I don't think so. But then maybe they don't consider your fists a weapon. Don't know. At least it could be a better chance at self defense considering most people don't get hit without getting in at least a few licks themselves.
