While cellphones offer a great deal of security, I must admit that I'm glad there are a few places where they don't work. It's getting to a point where you just can't get away from the chatter. Lakes, beaches, woods, everywhere you go someone is holding a loud conversation.
If CT. wants to be competitve in the tourism business then we need to leave some areas unspoiled. Hi George. I wanna be a he-man, how about you? |

Yeth thir, I wanna be a he-man. Hey guy what's up? Didn't think I see you on the national threads? Thought you only hung out at the local ones. Great to see you though. How's your mom? |

Barbara hasn't been around for awhile. We think ECA has been banned because all her stuff is gone.
My Mom has declined a little but we can still talk to her. That's the news here. The biggest arguments have been on the Plan B and gay marriage threads (if your looking for action.) How is your writing project coming along? |

Too bad about ECA. She had some points in the midst of her ramblings. Topix will do that from time to time. They did that to someone on the national threads for a while, but he's back under a different moniker. Sorry to hear about your mom. Again, I really hope that its not going to be a long torturous decline for her. I truly hope that she'll be fine for a extremely long period of time before she gets worse. Slow is the worst way to go, as I've stated before. As for the writing project, well I'm working on the third rewrite of the stuck short story. I have an idea for the last one, plus I have to write two other short shorts. I have a friend who will be doing some initial editing for me (hopefully), so I won't have to spend gobs of money for a professional revision again. |

George do you have anything published? What's your genre?
As for the cell tower debate. What do these monopines look like and are there any others around the state? |

Nothing published yet. Genre, well that's a toughie. The book I wrote, I guess you can call it a modern romance, except that the woman is strong and the man is vunerable. Oh yeah, has a good smattering of sex and a small dash of violence. As for the other book, it kind of explores the darker side of relationships. As for cell phone towers, I would think that they are probably in same league as those monstrosities that the power companies have dotted throughout CT. |

On that point, I would agree. |

Hey Gorgeous George, you writin' a book? Hey, that's cool man. I'm tryin' to write my own book. It's not as easy as readin' a book, that's for sure. My book is called, "I Married a Ghetto Chick: In the Shadow of Yale, the True Story of False Arrest and Malicious Prosecution in the UnConstitution State." (Too long, I know.) Maybe it should just be, FU-CT. Well, I didn't actually marry her, it was one of those "common-law" deals. You know, where you just kinda shack-up together. The false arrest and malicious prosecution part is true, however. I'll send you a preliminary. You're a smart guy. Maybe you can give me some pointers.
"Modern Romance"? Are you outta your mind? Weekend minutes are freebies. Tower of power! Can't push yerself away from that computer, can you? West Cornwall? My grandmother used to make corn-bread, and my girlfriend had corn-rows. Miss em both. Cornwall? Is that a real place? Southern boy in New England is like a fish outta water. |

Did you say Ghetto Chick or Ghetto Chuck?

Yeah, Cornwall is a real place, somewhere south of Falls Village and way north of Goshen. What's wrong with a Modern Romance? What's wrong with strong and independent women? Besides, it is partially based on real events and real people in my life. The rest, as they say, is known to a very select group of people, who know how to keep a secret. |

Ghetto Chuckee Cheese, try it. Maybe you'll like it. Ha! I know where you're coming from. I'm not stuuu---pid. Hey Caaarolyn, Give this guy a beatin'.

I read in the article that they make these towers or "monopines" to look like natural pine trees. I think an earlier comment stated that these monopines still look fake. I can't say that I've ever noticed one. Mr. CT. Native or whatever, reminds me of a male version of ECA, but not as entertaining. |

If we can't get people to stop the yakking in restaurants, bathrooms, grocery stores, libraries, etc, can they at least shut up while out in places like the woods or on beaches? Whatever happened to Silence is Golden?

On the book being shopped, it's called "Twisted Romance"; the book I'm writing, it's called "Life is a Highway". My headline is a parody of a phrase I read somewhere. The original phrase is "Peace, Love and Tranquility". |
