MONTCALM COUNTY -- Three men convicted in the 2002 beating death of Trufant resident Henry Marrott were to be back in court today seeking a new trial.

They claim fresh evidence exonerates them. Brothers Heath and Clinton McGowan and Edward Griffes say a state prison inmate was told by Kyle Chapman that Chapman's cousins killed the 88-year-old.

Aaron and Anthony Chapman are serving life for the 2001 slaying of Kathryn Dyer in her Edmore home.

Fifteen people testified in 2006 that the McGowan brothers and Griffes admitted roles in Marrott's murder.

For those looking for an update & nothing else, yes, they caught his killer. It was apparently his friend who was living with him at the time. I don't remember the name.
I'm sorry for Mr. Boon's family, having known him when I was younger & in later years moving just a few miles from his home. He was always a polite person.
To bad nobody mentioned drugs anywhere in the 142 comments, maybe this could have been solved earlier.
It's a sad story & a nice man was taken from his family long before he should have been.
Rest in Peace Mr. Boon.

Wow I am very surprised this hasn't been in the daily news at all. Glad they found a suspect though

Kathryn Dyer was murdered in Edmore at her home. I know her daughter and know that this is a fact, as far as I know Dave Boone's killer has not been identified. I don't know where this info came from, but I wish it were true.

what does this mean, "the family tree"??? Isn't this person who died the same one who is mentioned a few times earlier in this thread? This is a bit suspicious in itself??

Daily Horoscope for November 30

Taurus

Today is potentially very romantic, as the Moon and Venus make love in your house of relationships. If you open up your heart, you'll be pleasantly surprised. The Bull is slow to fall in love, but tends to be very loyal and committed, which makes it important for you to choose your partners wisely. It may just be that the love of your life is already by your side.
