I'll miss taking my kids to that park. I used to go to summer camp there in the early 80's. Back where there was a pool there. Good times.

Toxins are poisons made by biological organisms--as in bee venom, snake venom, and the blistering agents released by some insects. It is NEVER a synthetic chemical, such as a pesticide, combustion byproduct, or PCB--nor a natural inorganic chemical or element, such as lead, arsenic, or asbestos. Consult any Webster's dictionary. Toxin is NOT synonymous with poison, although some people sloppily misuse it as such--as your headline writer did here.

I'll remember that very important distinction when my family and I come down with cancer.

Why did the ADVOCATE pull the other Scofield thread? Could it be that the City was looking bad?

Why would you trust any compost but your own? Christmas Trees are sprayed with flame retardant and later composted by most towns. And then there are lawn chemicals and synthetic fertilizers. That has got to be on the grass clippings. I would not use any municipal compost pile whether it is situated on a landfill or not.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Virgo

Luckily, you're less susceptible to people leaning on you today, but there's still a chance that someone might try to take advantage of your good nature. It's so darn difficult to stand up to them, partly because you genuinely want to help if you can, and partly because you don't want to be seen in a bad light. But you don't want to be seen as a doormat either, do you?
