Brown works his job and knows the issues better than some of his lazy co-supervisors (yes, that means you Farrington and Smith). Try and find either one of these two in the county on any given day and you will have to look high and low. At least Brown is man enough to have an opinion. The others don't dare say too much for fear that we will all figure out that they don't know what is going on. Brown and Rushing are the exceptions.

Congratulations to the Lake County Board of Supervisors for finding a way to make Jury Duty useful.
Konocti Harbor Inn is one of the largest employers in Lake County.
I don't like gambling either.
But they are in competition with other resorts for the dollar, and economic times are tough.
Would Rob Brown feel good if the resort folded?
Maybe California should just legalize Gambling.

Congratulations to The Lake County Board of Supervisors for finding a useful reason for Jury Duty.
I don't care for gambling either.
These are tough economic times, and Konocti Harbor Inn has to offer a product to bring the dollars into the County.
They have to remain competitive.
California should just legalize gambling. The cat has been out of the bag for years, and the field should be leveled.
I do not know why he despises the people that live in the Rivieras. We never see any money returned to the area to improve things. But the taxes that are collected here seem to always find their way to Downtown Kelseyville.
Look at what has done for downtown Kelseyville.
New Bridge Downtown, Road Repairs, Fire Station.
What has he offered the Rivieras a Road repair bills, and now the largest employer in the area may fold if they can't remain competitive and job losses follow.
He is not a Supervisor for the people of district 5. He's a manipulitive Rat that only looks after his constituancy.

FROM THE RECORD BEE ARTICLE: Board of Supervisors approve garbage increase, road work
LAKE COUNTY Garbage pick-up rates were raised and an agreement was reached between the county and the Big Valley Rancheria of Pomo Indians AKA KVC harbor resort industries tribal consul Vagas.

"There are roads on here that are miles away from the reservation that don't lead to the reservation," Supervisor Rob Brown said. "I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth if we're going to get roads repaired that need it, regardless of the funding, but what strings are attached?" Brown asked Siemer.

it's pretty simple Rob, all you have to do is to READ the stuff in the folder they give you every week and THEN you will know what the BOS will be discussing and/or voting on. When you say you don't know what's going on that's your bad, Tony asked you if you wanted it continued and you said "no", again, your bad.
Same thing goes for the mob that showed-up last year to scare the BOS into backing your resolution to stop a casino at KHRS, if you READ the agenda and look at the packet then you know what's going on, and no, you can't depend on Tiffany to do all the thinking and leg work for you. In other words if you actually DO your job this kind of thing wouldn't happen, that's not too much to ask, is it?

My sentiments exactly! This kind of bull headedness is why Lake County has so many people on Welfare. Every time an opertunity for jobs come along, the BOS has turn it away.We need more industry in this County, it is no longer going to survive as a farming county. And wither we like it or not, the population is exploding....we need jobs jobs jobs, get these people off Welfare.

We have enough casinos...I agree with Mr. Brown. KV is too close to KH. We must look beyond casinos. A shuttle could again run from KV to KH or Twin Pines... and offer package deals.

There are many resorts that do not have casinos. Spa and family resorts are very popular. A tram would be wonderful up Mt. K. to the new proposed park. Everyone loves the concerts at KH. KH needs major updating; we need to look at other resorts to mirror rather than considering yet another casino resort.

Yes, this county needs quality/career jobs but their are many other issues facing the county too.

Mr. Brown has been working on other issues like a new VA Clinic for our large VA population to open 2009/10.

We need "out of the box" thinkers to improve the county yet keep Clearlake beautiful.

The other Supervisors are wise to Rob Brown in his ways.
They know he's not that smart that's why they set him up with Jury Duty.
So they can vote on this issue and it passed.
It is a private industry that pays taxes that does not take in taxes.
We don't pay pay Rob Brown a salary we pay him a sewage fee because he's full of it.

I agree with Rob. I voted no on Indian Gaming way back in the 90's when it was politically incorrect to do so. I still think it's not the right path for our state. Gambling just fuels more addictions and wrecks lives.

Oh puleeze Wendy, take a course in economics! And Rob, I NEVER agree with anything Phil Murphy writes, but these is no way you were sucker punched on this issue if you had been doing your homework. The range of what folks do for recreation has already been established. If it takes a casino to continue to get good entertainment up here....what is there to complain about. As far as roads in and out and keep neighbors happy? That is all negotiable. Get real folks, we need this business in our county. Rob is an idiot not to see that!

Brown beets to a different drummer. Maybe we could promote more Buffalos on the land. In many cases Brown, with four more years just does not get it.

Even Mr. Brown should serve on Jury Duty. I don't think it was planned by the BOS.

District 5 voted him in again so people must overall be statisfied with his performance. If not, I encourage those to vote rather than complain. We have enough casinos; it isn't the answer to Lake Counties problems and future growth. Let's move forward with more innovative ideas. Let's be the tourism of choice for families and have a balance of activities.

Konocti closes, kiss Lake County $$$ good bye!!!! Ultimately, it brings in revenue. This is exposure and helps small business throughout, need I mention the Real Estate Market. These patrons come into to play they see promotionals items of Lake County and will buy! Sorry Brown it's not about you and Kelseyville.(It matters to the masses) So what if they are a diversified group of people to the South. We all are transplants for the most part. Except it! embrace it, and no I am not a liberal!
Deal with it!!

Another theory?

How about this? Brown new of all this, and County made it possible for him to be out for the day.(Jury Duty) Let's face it Brown is a Republican and his big supporters are good ole boys. Lets say he did know of this, and he is crying "I did not know" etc...

But he did know....

And the theory is he's working both sides.

So if gaming comes, perhaps crime too?
This only helps Brown for his
"What ya gonna do when they come for you" biz
If an arrest occurs,(and that is a big IF)

Brown may be the one to bail them out!

BOS is a bunch of BS, they all know that this will be best for the County. It's the evil of money!

How about this? They've been doing it for years... They could be considered racketeers. That's the way it seems to be. That's why they love having retired law enforcement personnel as Realtors. The bail set accordingly. Chances are if you're a property owner the bail will be set off the charts. Property owner flight risk; Not.. "Create Fear Effect". A Republican practice...It's a revolving door of money flow. That's why they relish the Riviera's in upheaval. You've really woken up!!!

They sit there ringing their hands like a Blue Bottle fly after a meal of carrion. This is very complicated very professional, they don't want to break any laws. I suggest viewing the county clerks holdings, associates and county personnel property purchases to start. They are privy to info taxes. Also the voters registers office personnel holdings. We must shake hands and become. The Mendo County clerk left Three Million Dollars to charity. Article Press Democrat.
