I live in District 5. I have followed Rob Brown's stand on many of the issues. It seemed odd to me that he would do his finger pointing at Robert Stark and boldly state that he had not familiarized himself with ...

Eight Years is Eight Years. At that point no matter how well intentioned the individual is there ideas just cycle. The supervisor no matter how well intentioned they are the sphere around them gets smaller and patterns just repeat.
He sure is

A QUOTE FROM THE FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES COMMISSION FILE No.
12/010 SUPERVISOR ROB BROWN:
“In order for a public official to have a conflict, the public official must participate or influence a governmental decision which would have a material effect on the public official.”
Rob Brown Supervisor of Lake County Ca, has a conflict of interest and is required to disqualify himself from making or participating in discussions on Lake County Measure D Marijuana Initiative because Rob Brown operates Rob Brown Bail Bonds Company and has a financial interest in seeing Measure D defeated.
If Measure D is passed there will be a reduction of arrests, reduction of people incarcerated in jails, and a reduction of people in prisons. If Measure D is defeated Rob Brown will continue to make money from marijuana arrests.
BROWN HAS A CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND SHOULD ABSTAIN FROM
PARTICIPATION IN ANY DISCUSSION ON ANY MARIJUANA INITIATIVE.

Reports that Lake County Supervisor Rob Brown owes back income taxes have surfaced just as word has begun to circulate that he will seek re-election next year.

“This is nothing more than dirty politics,” he said Wednesday, saying he's also been accused falsely of having filed for bankruptcy.

The information is being disseminated on blogs and through anonymous phone calls.

Brown described the IRS tax lien, originally for just more than $50,000, as no big deal and said his finances are in fine shape.

“We have an installment agreement,” and the IRS debt is down to about $12,000, he said.

The lien has not prevented him from buying and selling other properties or from building a wrestling room for Kelseyville High School.

Brown said the tax lien stems from the sale several years ago of a Kelseyville property that included a car wash, Brown said.

He said he sold the property for a little over $1 million and used the money to purchase an apartment complex for the same amount. Because he didn't get any cash from the sale, Brown said he didn't realize he was required to pay capital gains taxes on the sale.

The IRS caught the error, notified him and they worked out a payment schedule, he said.

Brown is nearing the end of his third four-year term as supervisor.

If Brown couldn't accomplish something in 12 years I doubt 4 more years would help anything but his bank account. Maybe he's still looking for the Mexican Cartel?
