How fast was the motorcycle going? You can't see a car coming if going over 65 MPH.
I have driven out many times to be almost rear ended by a speeding car either way.

Dude, he ran a stop sign.

right, he ran a stop sign and then left the scene, why? because he was probably drunk or stoned.

a trial date being set is not news. Tell us when there is a verdict and stop rehashing this same article over a d over and over again.
Not news. Nothing new happened. Boeing and redundant. Oh wait that is the theme at the RB.

Looks like the new guy is being over worked. Every story recently is written by him. Where are the others? Is everyone on vacation (not that I miss their fake "journalism"). Hope you're getting compensated well enough Jeremy. Good job!

Interesting that the first comment appears to make the incident the fault of the injured party. The speed of the driver/rider with the right-of-way is not at issue. The actions of the driver/rider approaching Highway 29 are the issue.
Bottom line - there is plenty of visibility at this intersection. Always assuming that the person approaching Highway 29 intends to stop.
Interesting too that Mr. Nightingale hasn't manned up to his actions...after all, confession is good for the soul.

What a travesty James Walter Nightingale kills Zino leaves the
scene then surrenders when sober and Hedstrom orders Nightingale
to serve the upper term of four years in prison on the felony hit-
and-run charge, with the misdemeanor charges each getting a year
that he was ordered to serve concurrently, although much of that
time was wiped out with time already served and other credits.
Nightingale also has been ordered to pay the Mezoui family more
than $47,000 in restitution, which will be the subject of another
hearing on May 17.
Money can't buy everything.
Hedstrom said the statute allows credit of up to one half of the
sentence for good conduct, meaning Nightingale could be out of
prison in about two years.
