BEWARE! Just Brakes are all liars and scam artist My $99.00 brake job cost $600.00 and when i went back on my life time warrenty they did not honor it. I took my ford ranger in to see what i needed and the mechanic took my entire brake system apart all over the floor! and insisted i just about needed everthing replaced! when the truck wasn't even making a noise i just wanted it checked out! I will NEVER use this place again and you better not either or you will be sorry. no one has ever came out of that place for $99.00 and I guarantee that.

The first time i went to just brakes they tried to tell me my brake job was gonna cost $500 or so. I said the deal is only $99.00. He said that my right rear brake thing (Some sponge looking thing)had a tear and it had to be replaced. That was supposed to cost an extra $100 or so. I looked up the part online and the part was only $5. They then said i needed new calipers and rotors. He said when i brake and the car shakes it's because my rotors were warped. I got a car alignment and the car never shaked again when i applied the brakes. I went back just yesterday for my warranty and they didn't want to honor it because he said my calipar was messed up and it would cost me $197 to have them fix it. After many words and arguing they put my pads on there for $46 but he said if i don't fix my caliper the next time they won't honor the warranty. I told him i won't be back and that i was going to report it. Well guess what now after reading everyone else's story now i know i'm not the only one. JUST BRAKES IS A RIP OFF!!!!! Someone should start a class action suit. Let's shut them all down.

yea, alot of people think there just going in to get a brake shoe put on. when you take things apart you really can see what the problem is. my brake job is costing me 531.00 dollars but i know i need alot done. its not 20.00 an hour any more to work on these cars and trucks people. they are responsible for you when you drive away. if they did a crapy job and didn't tell you when there is other issues then you still would complain. everything cost more theses days and not all people are honest but if you were in there shoes serving the public you would have to make the choice too. you all decided to get the work done. not them. they are just letting you know they recomend putting new and change the old parts that don't work well. hell your tring to stop a 2 or 3 thousand pound car or truck. do you think it's only going to cost 99 bucks to fix your whole break system every time. give these people a brake. them want you to be safe. and if you knew anything about brakes then you would understand this.

Learn to work on your own car, folks. Brakes are easy, especially all wheel disc brakes. Takes me 1/2 a day and around $100 for pads for all 4 wheels. And you KNOW it was done right and no one can upsell you unless you know you need the parts yourself.

Fact: I've only owned 2 cars in 27 years - Car #2 still running great and I am not a mechanic!! Everything I know about cars is from working on my own.

Funny how things stopped going wrong with my Ford when I stopped taking it to the Ford dealers who CREATED problems for them to fix (6 dealers in 4 states). My ONLY positive experience with Ford was a dealership in Charlotte, NC.

On the other hand, I've had very good luck with my Saturn. Too bad GM didn't keep the ONLY decent built car brand they ever made. No wonder they are banrupt.

Perhaps you are not understanding the complaints. People are getting gouged for work that is not necessary (i.e.) when people need just pads, they are getting told they need knew calipers. There have been dozens of stings and even a dateline episode about this type of practice. for every one satisfied customer there are 99 who have been screwed over with work that did not need to be done and even when done, it has been done poorly. Glad you are happy with your service but to stand up for just breaks is "just ridiculous"

Just Brakes is a total scam. There is no such thing as the $99 special. They will say to need as assortment of repairs totaling hundreds.

My brother in law took his truck to Just Brakes.....started out at $1200, felt lucky to get out for $350 and vow to NEVER go back.

Look at complaints.com - hundreds of complaints.

I would never recomnend this company. I went in for brakes after having them grind for a few months...I know what you are thinking...but I drive a manual and mostly slow with my gears. in any case I went to just brakes and was told I had to have rotors calipers, etc done coming up to 500 dollars. I asked if he could just put the pads on without that and they said the parts were too damaged lol...in any case i ended up paying for new rotors because it was likely i needed them...He did use scare tactics though lol.

Hell working at an auto store I can get the parts for 140 lol. thats a crap ton for labor...scammers.

Whats funny is that the other customers had similar complaints...one guys was supposed to be 1200 lol.

This place is a scam. They know it . I would like to see on the news where someone walked into this business with a board and tought these people that this kind of budiness to run. They should be put out of business. The best way to handle this business is to call the florida state attorneys office. Just breaks is praying on your ignorance. Document everything with dates etc. its time to set Just Breaks in their place. Also call their main headquaters office and report them.

Just brakes is a sham i went in to get their oil change special 19.99 with tire rotation, guy took my wheels off then didn't even rotate the tires, said he heard me tell the manager I didn't want it done really!!! instead they banged on the brake housing and told me they were checking the brakes well if I wanted the brakes checked I would have asked that. Also the guy started giving me the sales pitch about the other things I needed and to change out all of my fluids because they might be getting bad I told the manager to put my vehicle back together and left with paying the original 19.99. beware these guys will pull you car apart and try to sell you a bunch of items not even necessary let alone not even asked for. Then shop guy (Yes being rude) pulled my vehicle out of the service bay got out and walked inside with my keys and I'm standing there waiting get in my vehicle and no keys had to go inside and get them, guess he was pissed off because I told him he was lying about me refusing the tire rotation if it's free why would I not accept. Stay clear of these guys there out to rip you off seriously

Very good point you make, and I would like to add that they have overhead such as a building, permits, licences, taxes, inventory, employees. Of course they are responsible for the work they performed on the vehical, and when your dealing with brakes, your dealing with people lives DIRECTLY. TOdays brake systems are complex, use computers and special materials, this adds HUGE to the cost of maintaining and repairing the systems. For a diagnosis alone, that requires access the computer and technician time, the cost rises.
Now I do not condone the "scare tactics" used by the sales people, but somtimes the complxity of the brake system, and the responsibility placed upon it can be frieghtening to the uneducated. This is what needs to be addressed by the sales staff, not taken advantage of when they see "soccor mom" pull up in the minivan.
Before a potential customer decides to take up that offer of a "$99" brake job, they need to ask themselves: "do I really want a "$99" brake job.

I went to Justbrakes to replace all the brake pads for $99. They told me that cylinders are not working proeprly as well and need to be replaced. ok fine. I paid $300 total to get the job done.

I drived back to my home which is 10 miles away and next week I took the car to another location (Drivers Auto Repair) to get the inspection for the car. I was noticing a soft pedal while driving. when I asked them (Drivers Auto Repair) to inspect the car for me, they told me that brake oil is leaking from one of the cylinders. I told them that i had them replaced last week. they showed me the leak and told me that Justbrakes used a wrong part for my car and they used force to connect it to the brake line which caused the jam and hence the leak. they replaced the part for me. i didnt want to drive back to just brake becuase i dont trust them anymore to touch my car and second i didnt want to drive there through highway with a leaking car and a soft pedal.

I called them back and ask at least for a refund for endangering my life and using a wrong part and not telling me the truth. surprisingly they refused even to appologize yet refunding the cost!

this is a fraud and endangering the life of their customers. dont go there even you care a bit about your safety or the safety of your loved ones.
