Lakeland teen beating

Eight central Florida teenagers have been arrested after allegedly filming the beating of another teen and threatening to post the video on the internet.

this is what I mean by dysfunction in the world and sociiety. the parents are the problem, this needs to be dealt with in a serious manner. this cannot happen again. If these were my childern, i would beat them till the end of time, why not, they felt that it was o.k. to do this young girl, give the same to them. and also, they owethis girl an apology and monetary settlements. the parents owe as well, for allowing their childern to develop such behavior,and not dealing with the problems. WAKE UP people. I would hav enever let my childern get away with such behavior,no way, not without severe penalties. I could never have done this either when I was younger, no way.

When you lack the intellect to handle problems any other way, violence seems to be the answer. The mother, that's a joke, sticks up for that behavior, it is clear she has no intellect. The eight sub-humans responsible should be taken out of the homes where they learned this behavior, because it will only get worst. Max jail time for all of them.

The mother that would condone her children as being part of a thug attack on another child needs not only mental counseling but a good swift kick in the As*. Then again it might give her a brain concussion as she seems to have her head up her as*.
Gang mentalities a different lack of parental guidance, and development of moral or character.

Put them all in jail, and even the mother that justified her childs actions.

I agree with the others. First of all, this was all pre-meditated and that needs to be taken very seriously. These kids are cowards as it takes 6 of them to beat on one. The Mother of the girl who tried to validate this beating is rediculous to say the least. I hope this girl gets a boat load of money and the offenders and their parents get charged with felonies! Let them explain that on every job and school application they ever have to fill out. IDIOTS!

You are right! Only they will not apply to any school, for they and their parents do not have the necessary mentality, and few will apply for jobs, they will always be a drain on society.

HOLD ON. since when is correction of a child called violence? or are you talking about these crazy children? right? because I know when my mother, or grand parents corrected me and my siblings, it was not called violence. you need to to go sit down some where...and think about what you are talking about.

Vincent, I believe the comment was aimed at the 'KIDS' that were suposedly righting a perceved wrong. the violence being spoken about was the violence that the kids did and was not directed at your comment above it.

Why show the public the video of her being beaten.
Show it to the Jury and then show us the Trial and
the punishment these animals deserve. They are all
old enough to be accountable for their actions. If
the parents can't raise them correctly maybe the

Do we not have any morals anymore? It scares me to death to think that these kids of today will someday rule this country. God Bless America. But then, when the government keeps getting involved as to how we should discipline our children and all those righteous parents that think a little spanking is harsh and cruel, you'd better hope that your child doesn't shoot your brains out in the middle of the night. When I was a child and I got angry at my parents, killing never entered my mind, so what is wrong with the kids of today? Yes, it begins with the parents for sure.

It is sad that society needs to lock these kids (and adult) up at societies expense as it is obvious that the parents are not doing an adequate job. Best would be to lock each and every one up and charge the parents the costs of incarceration. Since the parents were unable to raise their kids appropriately it is appropriate for them to pick up the tab for society to do it.

the fact that there was a possible provokation on MySpace by no means should ever even be considered an excuse for causing physical harm. There in fact is no justification for such deeds and some one needs to slap the offenders with a nice dose of "reality"

The mother that is defending her animal of a daughter needs to have her face on the news as well. Her neighbors need to know what an idiot she is so they dont let their children ever go to her house. My heart goes out to all the parents of both the victim and the others. I do believe these teens should be tried and convicted as adults. This action must have serious consequences or it will be repeated. The fact that they were joking only proves our kids have no clue regarding right and wrong.
