Sounds like a weak case at best. No matter how weird this man might be, I don't recall cut and paste being a crime.

Trumped-up charges like this diminish the seriousness of real child porn.

You are 100% correct--there is no victim to testify and no actual criminal activity has taken place. Seems to me they just wanted to take him out of the school system which obviously he shouldn't be a part of.

wasn't there a law passed several years ago that also outlaws computer generated child porn? these are images that don't depict real children, but are very realistic. i find it repulsive, and i do understand that folks who are into the illustrations are one step away from the real thing - whether that be real photos, or acting out their "fantasy". however, i have a hard time struggling with whether or not a computer generated graphic or any other manipulated photo is actually child porn. perhaps a lesser crime - but not sure what type of crime it would be. i'm guessing a real child's photo on an adult body is some form of violation of privacy. this is a tough case. regardless, he should be thrown out of our education system forever, whether or not he committed a crime.

You wouldn't be saying that, if it was your childs picture that he was using.
