It's peoples fault to a degree. Just like alligators idiots feed. "Oh, look at the cute Raccoon!" - boom, your looked at as a relation to food or considered a territorial threat.

Gretchen, bathe often. Clean your house daily. Use a trash can with a tight sealing heavy lid. Don't feed animals that don't live inside your house.

Mental note to self: if I've got a bunch of wild animals outside my house, stay inside.

I never really got to observe a raccoon up close, until recently. Up until then, I thought they were cute and relatively harmless as they went around tipping over garbage cans in the 'hood. Not so. They're nasty little suckers if they even remoteely feel provoked. I inadvertently left a bowl of dry cat food on the front porch for the neighbors cat, who is away and asked me to feed it. Its an outside cat. I forgot to bring the food in at sunset. The raccoons got it. My wife heard banging and thrashing on the porch and woke me up. I went to check it out, and when I hit the porch light, there were at least 5 of 'em - and they sure as hell weren't friendly. They spit, they hiss, they growl. Nah. I decided going onto the porch to retrieve the bowl would be a real foolish thing to do. At least as long as they were there.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Sagittarius

You're in a strange mood, Sagittarius. You're feeling impatient and cross, and nothing is quite right. No wonder, with Mercury and Mars retrograde, under a Full Moon lunar eclipse! But is it necessary to be quite so contrary, so determined to do the opposite of what's expected of you? Try to sort out the problem sooner rather than later, then do something energetic and therapeutic so you can burn off your nervous energy. Then you're all set for a great New Year's Eve!
