If you are mature enough to commit adult crimes you should be prepared to do adult time.

If any of the teens took any part in the planing, and or caring out the attack. Then they bare the burden of the charges, even the 14 yr old. If found guilty then it's time to pay the piper. I just am not buying the defence. She is just a little guilty because at some point she said enough is enough. If she helped to plan and or carry out the attack in any way then she should be charged period.

One of the original articles I read (http://www2.tbo.com/content/2 008/apr/11/na-8-charged-as-adu lts-in-beating-case/) said "'Ooh, yeah, baby. Ooh, yeah!' a girl says in the background on the tape. The sheriff's office said the voice was that of Murphy, who was holding the video camera." That doesn't sound like she was trying to stop it, and holding the camera makes you pretty involved.

Cara Murphy is indeed as guilty as the others. The one's that did not hit are equally guilty. If they did not want to be involved, they would not have been there. Cara sure didn't jump in and physically stop anyone from hitting. She was enjoying every minute of it just like the rest them. Overcharged!!! Who cares to sympathize for these little low life's and if their lives are ruined. They should have thought it through maturely before they played out their drama. You get what you give, and karma is not something to toy with, EVER!!

I don't think it's overcharge at all. I know a guy who was charged as an adult for having a less than a gram of marijuana on his possession when he was seventeen. He told me that since he was nine months from his 18th birthday the cops said prosecutor said 'you're close enough' therefore he was charged and went to court as an adult. Are you going to tell me that having possession of marijuana is more of a serious crime than almost beating a person to death?

Great point solidcopy. And yeah, she's the one filming and taking the audible animalistic pleasure in the beating on the tape. She should rot. They all should rot.

Actually, Cara Murphy is not the girl behind the camera. That's just another misinformation out of the many that came from law enforcement.

The truth becomes obvious if you actually watch the video (you can see Cara briefly) and listen to the audio (she's addressed sideways from the camera).

Of course, even if the truth is, as they say, on the video, it does not matter; people will believe what they are told by the media, no matter how untrue.
