At Yellow Cab Co. Is the GM Mike Barnard running a fraud sceme at the Company at the drivers expense? It's been that when a driver buys a car from the Company,and when the contract owner is almost paid off,he has someone fabricate a complaint,and cancel's the driver contract. That's how he became a millionaire,and he has a female name Mary Jane,that has someone goe's out and put a dent in the car,and tells the driver,that they half to pay for it. The Mechanic Shop,they running a fraud sceme under the control of Mike Barnard. If any Yellow Driver's see this,I want to hear your imput.

I agree with you contract cancelled, it seems very fishy that contracts get cancelled just about the time the cab is to be finished payed for. I've seen cabs sold two to three times to different drivers, all with the same outcome. I guess thats how Mike Bernard gets to drive around in his Mercedes that he parks in the boneyard.

In Feb. 2003, Dale Cardwell and I did investigative story addressing stolen taxi cabs operating illegally in Atlanta and surrounding counties with altered aka 'flipped" VIN numbers to circumvent city ordinances and other regulations. What wasn't investigated fully was the clandestine financial wizardry that is the end product of altering VIN numbers on a large fleet of Ford Crown Vics nationwide. The money is being laundered when you overvalue a fleet of vehicles by altering VIN numbers to make them appear newer on paper but are actually 4 to 5 years older. The self insured policies for taxi companies are not sanctioned or regulated like commercial companies therefore no federal oversight. After a staged accident with a stolen Yellow Cab with an illegaly altered VIN number, I discovered that the largest cab company in Atlanta was illegally altering VIN numbers on their fleet of cabs and has developed into a multi-state issue. The VIN numbers are coming from New York and other cities. There are many reasons why this is being done and the owner of the medallion(s) ultimately benefits when these vehicles are overvalued as assets to back the medallion loans and to use older,stolen and decrepit cabs to avoid purchasing new ones mandated by city ordinances. This process of cross-collateralization becomes illegal when the VINs are altered to hide stolen identities and over-values the fleet as a whole.This maybe an integral part of driving the market price for these medallions. The taxi industry is a money laundering machine due to "all cash business". It's the ideal vehicle to launder any illegal currency to convert to U.S. dollars. An American University professor Peter Chinloy wrote an article contained in my documented evidence regarding how this scheme works. The most significant aspect of this scheme involves Banco Popular de Puerto Rico that was indicted in 2000 for failure to report illegal deposits, aka 'drug proceeds'. Banco holds liens on impounded taxis. The other article is the investigation by Washington D.C.'s Dept. of Insurance, Banking and Securities of an insurance company owned by the same person who owns Yellow Cab and VFH Captive Insurance in Atlanta. Night Owl cab is holding on by a thread because of Mike Barnard using his strong arm tactics to make other companies fold and be enveloped by Yellow Cab. My biggest issue is Josie Reyes. Book keepers normally earn around $20k per year since they're not real accountants, but some how some way Josie makes at least twice that through her crooked bullying ways. She even just got back from a trip to the UK that costed several thousands of dollars. Plus Reyes and Bernard are not the brightest businessmen. WHen the economy tanks, you don't strong-arm and bully the drivers for money that is just not out there, and you certainly don't keep adding new drivers when the current drivers are struggling as it is. Those two routinely defy all economic business logic, and it blows the mind how they don't see their irrational behavior. Plus the fees. I am sure all the fees, like repo fees for cars never repossessed, are not officially reported in the books.
