They will be charged, petty theft most likely. They did not actually snatch it from the girl, so no serious felony charges. I would like to see them get their butts whipped !! Charge them with a crime wrote: <quoted text> I the driver was Stephanie Woods and one of them lives in Lake Charleston, east of the clubhouse, that's Diana. Also, the cops are not charging them with a crime because they did not actually take the money out of the girl's hand. That will not teach the thieves any lesson accept how to steal more in the future. If that's the law, it makes you wonder why more people are not just walking off with cash registers. Spoiled little brats. Even if they do not get arrested I hope everyone teases them the rest of their life. And the mother is a great mother, I can't believe someone from another state can make some kinda of assumption like where was the mother.

If they get petty theft, at least that's something. Their parents need to be whipped also for bringing up so selfish bastar##.

Subject: teenage girls steal a Girl Scouts money in Boyton Beach
The story was completely unsettling, in that the girls received no charges and had no remorse. Just anger that they were caught. THEIR WHOLE ATTITUDE WAS, THAT THEY WERE MAD BECAUSE THEY GOT CAUGHT, AND SAW NOTHING WRONG WITH WHAT THEY DID! They need a serious attitude adjustment. Makes no difference if they didn't grab it out of her her hand, you can't tell me that that 9 year old Girl Scout wasn't scared and scarred by the entire incident. She's selling Girl Scout Cookies and these two girls think it is perfectly okay for them to just reach over take the money she has worked so hard for by selling cookies. When the Girl Scout has to turn in her money for the cookies, she will have to come up with the money or her family would. The teen girls should face some kind of charges because the fact remains, THEY TOOK SOMETHING THAT WASN'T THEIRS AND IT HAD A MONETARY VALUE TO THE PERSON THEY STOLE IT FROM. I certainly hope that the justice systems can come up with something to charge them with, and community service for them to do to understand that their behavior is unacceptable, period.

abc wrote: Why was the mother not closer to the child? How far is close is nearby? The mother is at fault also. As usual blame the parents, wrong The girls did it no matter what and saw nothing wrong with it. IT IS THEIR FAULT AND THEIR FAULT ONLY! I'm sick of everyone always wanting to put the blame on someone, anyone else. There are consequences when you do something wrong, and those gils knew it was WRONG!

Instead of taking the money they should have taken all those lousy cookies and thrown them in the nearest dumpster.

This one really takes the cake. I hope the DA in that town sees the outrage this has sparked and does something about it. While innocent until proven guilty, the news story I saw tells all....heck, they basically admitted to it and were more upset that they were caught. I suspect that even if the courts are unable to do anything (or enough)about it, they will pay a price....thanks to the digital age and world wide web! Has the news piece made its way on to Youtube yet?

I know the young victim. She is my best friends little sister...and i have known them all for 7 years. i feel so bad for poor little gracie and so angry at how unremorseful those two girls are. its unbelievable! and the sweet thing is that gracie also said that she was upset that one of the teens was smoking.. AND it is TOTALLY NOT the mothers fault...again i have known her for years and she loves her kids dearly , she and other scouts and i belive another mom was right there...it all happened in the blink of an eye

These two girls are in need of serious disapline. How dare they steal from a child without feeling any remorse or guilt. They need to do time like everyone else who gets caught stealing. What makes them different??? And now they are laughing at the system?

I agree. IT IS NOT THE MOMS FAULT. It is the 2 girls fault. Look at the crime!!!!!!!!!!

People are blaming it on the girl scout mother. Where are the parents of the girls of stole the money??? they obviously do not care what thier children are out doing. And, pety theft??? That's it. America is so laid back. Our rights are for criminals, not victims!!!

Just heard about this in North Carolina. If this had happen in NC they both would have been arrested. We don't have to have the district attorny teel us when we can arrest. The also would be tried as adults!

Wow, I've heard about this a month or two ago. My dad had told me he read it in the newspaper and that the one publicized the most, Stephanie Woods, went to my school before-hand, Park Vista. This happened so close to home, I live directly behind the plaza. Lets just say it's an eye-opener.

And the other terrible thing, i talked to the mother not to long ago, the girls live down the street from them! its just like a game for those girls it seems..like they have nothing better to do and they knew that it would gett the attention.
