Nope not a teacher, I am a parent of a child that is in the class of the teacher being accused and have only had postive experiences with the teacher. I feel that the teachers have to deal with students with multiple issues that aren't being dealt with at home, I give them alot of credit for dealing with that when the parents should be. I am not a hypocrite, just someone who has seen the people in this town on federal aid with there hands out driving nicer cars than I do. So yes, there is alot of lazy trash in Antioch. But lets not get off the subject. The facts will come out.

It's just very hard to explain away those bruises. I'm guessing if they were done by her parent he would be in jail right now and we all would have no problem with it. Since it was her teacher, we all have to wait for the "facts". I know you are probably right but that teacher taught my child also, and I am furious.
If you are a parent that had the teacher work with your children, would know her character, and this is not it!

I, too, have had 2 kids go through this teachers classroom. She is a kind, compassionate woman. I cannot even fathom this being the case.

Isn't AES one of the schools that lost it's social worker when the district shuffled those positions around? If yes, that speaks volumes here.

You are exactly right, if it was a case she wouldn't be on PAID administrative leave, she wouldn't be getting paid at all! I couldn't imagine the person in question doing this, considering that she cares so much about her students. Yes she is a strict teacher, but she is instilling values in the chidren she teaches, seems that alot of parents should take note and raise their children with proper values. School is not daycare, they are there to learn, not to deal with the problems at home.

So I tracked this down. Seriously people? I expected this kid to be battered, bruised and bloodied from the comments above. And, the kid herself says the teacher grabbed her arm. The kid probably yanked her arm back - that's consistent with those tiny little marks. So, why does the kid have a bruise on her chest (clearly visible in the video)? I bet she has bruises on her legs too! The horrors! Oh, wait - most kids have bruises on their shins. And arms.

Yes, teachers should not injure a child. But if you have ever been to any school as kids come in from recess, they are hyped up, excited, loud and boisterous. I bet there is way more to the story that's being said now. And I know of that kid through stories from my kids and their friends - she is not all sugar sweet innocense like she comes off in that video. Has she has a hard life, yeah, but that doesn't excuse bad behavior.
And while I feel bad talking about a kid, her parents should have thought of that before they paraded her out to the media to back up the lawsuit I bet they are planning.

Thanks for the link. I hope all the truths come out, but I have to say that something does NOT smell right here. Would you put your kid on the news and volunteer that kind of personal information? I hope he has documented proof of past abuse or his ex-wife has one doozy of a libel suit here.

You people are unbelievable. So quick to defend the teacher and denegrate the father. Shame on you. If that was my kid you better believe I would have done the same thing. What better way to show her that what was done to her was wrong?

Totally agree, and knowing who this child is personally, i can tell you she definetly has issues-no remorse or consciense-does not listen to authority, is a liar, manipulator, and a bully-i feel bad for saying things like that about a child, but if you knew her you would know-she is not allowed at my house or to play with my daughter-i dont tollerate that kind of behavior, dont want it rubbing off on my kid!

I truly hope people close to the situation contact the school with there information and concerns so that a teachers reputation isn't tarnished by a lying manipulative child who is obviously desperate for attention!!! I do know that the school is calling parents and children interviewing them, I truly hope the truth comes out!

My son's teacher spoke to the class today. She stated that there have been issues in the past with this teacher. My son also knows this child and said he was unaware of any issues with her. How sad some of you choose to bash this child and her father and are so quick to defend this teacher. I do hope that it's blown out of proportion, but these thoughtless comments about a child and her father are heartless and a perfect example of bullying.

Yes, please go to the school. Maybe they can teach you how to read, write, and form proper sentences. And, maybe they can teach you how to be a decent human being while they are at it.

Obviously you have way to much time on your hands, this is not an english paper, it is a blog, get over yourself. You are obviously biast and negative. If you were the teacher, do you feel that your reputation should be tarnished based off of hear say information and a child that has obvious issues?? BTW nice name, that is really classy, you are a perfect piece of Antioch's finest trash! Haha!

I'm not engaging into the negativity, and I'm not intending to call your son a liar, but perhaps he misunderstood. I am certain that all teachers at AES are under a gag order to their students, while they may well be addressing the issue in general, a teacher stating that another had past issues of this nature when it's not a proven, documented fact would be cause for dismissal, if not libel/slander. I sincerely doubt that anyone would risk their job and tenure by stating that this teacher has had past issues. Judy, as well as the school board, would have taken immediate action on that.

Again, if this is the teacher that I think it is, both of my children have been in her class, I've gotten to know her over my 7 years at AES, and I absolutely cannot fathom her causing harm to any child. She's a tough but fair teacher. I sincerely hope the truth comes out.

This father Had to take this public. The teachers hide behind the administration whom protect them even when they are wrong. I have had experience with this school. It was with a different principal and she was a bully herself. She would lie and change stories and claim she and the teachers always put children first. Bologne! They single out, the kids that aren't from the town cliques. And as for you parents where is your compassion for this child whether she is troubled or not. Put your child in her shoes! As for the teacher. Some teachers teach for the right reasons. Some teach for the paycheck and benefits.I reserve judgement.
