But i dont think Obama da Man meant it as a true racist remark.
Which would only occur if he made statements connected to Obama being black.
I think his purpose was to show Obama didn't do so well as president regardless of color of skin.
By that i mean the unemployment numbers, the debt, killings in Libya.
None of those had anything to do with Obama's skin color.
But they did occur under his watch.
As for the Obamaphone well that was mentioned by a black woman on the news.
So if he's racist for calling it an Obamaphone so was she.
The main point is Obama was not a good president.
Romney thinks he can do better.
In that i agree.
And he nothing to do with racism.
We all need to get past that.
4 years ago, this country had the greatest economic freefall since the depression, we were in war and this country was in a standstill. What this president has done since taking over this mess has been nothing short of amazing. Look at the jobs he has saved. We are out of Iran and will be out of Afghanistan. 45 straight months with positive returns on the stock market. The economy is coming back(not as fast as some people want but it is coming back) construction of new businesses have increased. Now look at what we could have with Mr. Romney: People will be losing their jobs because their jobs will be outsourced, we will be in a war with whoever, the stock market will crash again. Senior citizens will be paying through the nose for services. Goodbye social security, goodbye any financial assistance for students, goodbye decent salaries for teachers, firemen, policemen, and any type of employment that middle class workers do now. Say good-bye to their benefits also. I could go on and on but you have to look at the big picture: Romney has flip-flopped on so many issues I cant figure out what he stands for. How many foreign entities has he invested in which he wont devulge in his 2007-2009 tax returns(what is he hiding??) How bad will he screw up health care, and what type of recession will we be hit with.

You bring up a lot of issues. Any of which would be a long discussion, at least by the way I type.

So i'll just tackle one for now. The first issue you brought up being the BUSH years. Its time democrats learn to get over it.
Being president means YOU start taking responsibility and not keep blaming the guy before you. I thought Bill Clinton should have been thrown out but once Bush got in Clinton didn't matter. Same with Obama once he got in Bush shouldn't have matter.

Yes the war happened under Bush but the whole world believed in WMD not just us. Even Russia thought they had them. Even democrats not only voted for it but believed it too. Wars are messy there is no clean way to fight a war. It could have gone better but it could have been a lot worse. Ask any Vietnam vet what a lot worse looks like, they know.
Economy under the Bush years ? Well it was Barney Franks and Dodd that pushed for the bank mess we're in now. Bush actually called an alarm on it but got shouted down. If anything Bush was too weak to stand up for what he knew was right.
Bush let the education program be written by Ted Kennedy. And they received more money then ever before and got little in return. Usually the case with our money in education.
Bush was a great war time president. We didn't get attacked on our soil after 9/11 thanks to him.
Bush was a lousy domestic president. But more so because he was weak in those fields and let the democrats run the show. Keep in mind he never had a super majority in Congress like Obama had. When he did have a slight majority he had a lot of RINO's.
I'll give the democrats credit on one thing. They sure do stand united. You don't see many DINO. Wish we did.
So are we clear on this now ? Bush is GONE. He ain't coming back as president. We need to think in the here and now and stop living in the past.

OK now we got past that.
Do you want me to go over any other of your points ?
I prefer one at a time. I never learned the art of simple one sentence answers. That is without a doubt a failing of mine.
But i'll make up for it by treating you with respect. No insults from me. Just a clean exchange of opinions between friends.

gregT usually I just ignore comments like yours because I think they're just rambling posting meant for a laugh.

But there was one point in there.
A lot of people do think nothing ever changes in any election.

Changes do occur that will have effects on all of us. Just for an example whomever becomes president will probably nominate at least one if not two justices to the Supreme Court.
That can cause a very divided court to become a very one sided court.

There will certainly be cases coming up before the court that will impact all of our lives.
You may not care one way or another over who the president is or which party is in control of congress.
But you should care which way the Supreme Court goes. You can't vote them out of office. They are there for life.

This election matters in ways you don't see much of in the news media.

I never mentioned Bush, the people spoke, he is gone....he just left his mess. Regarding Mr. Romney are you concerned at all of the flip-flopping, the 47% fiasco, non-admission of the other 3 years of tax-returns, vouchers for medicare, the total wipeout of decent wages for the middle-class, the foot-in-mouth diseases with our foreign allies, his quick trigger comments about China, his blanket statements regarding federal employees, pro-life stances, his not being concerned with equal-pay equality for women and his avoidance in the last debate where he could have gained ground with foreign policy he tried to dodge that by coming back with the economy.
Obama could have led this country into a further downhill spiral but he did'nt and this country is coming back. He could have turned his back on the auto industry(remember Romney said he would have just bankrupted them) but he didnt. He could have let the GOP build the Keystone pipeline, but he didnt let them build it on a major aquifier(He did tell the GOP, to resubmit it and he would look at it but the GOP never got back to him) Obama said he would end the war in Iraq and he did. He says 2014 and out of Afghanistan where Romney says he wouldnt say that. How many GOP rich cronies have defense contracts over-seas that cost us tax-payers gazillions and all you hear is about Libya(who by the way the GOP in the house cut the funding for the details). Why would we want to completly change the course of this country when while yes its been slower to accomplish...this country is coming back. I think its been deplorable what the GOP have come up with the most dirtest tactics I have ever seen in my lifetime and as blatant also. As soon as Obama was elected its been the sole mission of the GOP to get him out.

HEY i'm the Mystery Man here not Romney.
He's got his own mojo working he doesn't need mine.
I'm ready to give up on you.
I've tried several times to debate/talk/share opinions.etc with you.
I'm ready to discuss Romney with you. And you keep ducking.
Its also not a one way street.
If you expect comments about Romney and then you just run Romney down regardless of what is said. Then expect the same in return.
I can do that too.
I can ask a zillion questions about Obama and then run him down.
Just off the top of my head.
QUESTION
Obama what about our billions of dollars you wasted on stimulus packages ?
RUN DOWN
Obama did nothing while our guys died in that embassy. That happened on his watch. Can't blame Bush this time. Worse then nothing he tried a blame a film maker.

Unlike you i don't get much pleasure out of just running a guy down. Not even Obama.
I prefer a meaningful FRIENDLY debate.
Since you're not into that i'll just move on.
Good luck to you.

Your exactly a person that a Romney looks out to. I havent said anything derogatory towards you. You havent said one word regarding Romney. When I stated facts about what Romney has stated so far, you have no answers, no statements no nothing, just explaining Bush, and come back with questions about Obama.
No the sky is not falling as your candidate would have you believe. The President has gotten our troops out of Iraq and is getting them out of Afghanistan. You bring up Libya and four people killed, how many of our troops have he saved getting them out of war, and make sure they are being treated and helped when they get home. Something the GOP would never even think of doing. Nobody can say what Romney stands for and that includes you, but you dont have to worry though because Obama will clean up the mess he was given and finish the job. Your candidate will just go back to the Cayman Islands where he hides the rest of his money. Good day

23 million unemployed
14 million more underemployed
46 million living in poverty
Household income down $4,654 per year
5 TRILLION $ more in debt
Billions wasted on bad investments.

i appreciate the fact that you and i never said anything derogatory towards each other.
That is exactly how such exchanges should be.

I take exception though to your comment i have no answer about Romney. LOL i'm never short on answers.
Again if you want to debate any issue lets do it ONE issue at a time.

But keep in mind BOTH Obama and Romney will be discussed its not a one a street.
And its about just them. Not about Bush, Clinton, or any other past presidents.

Just curious you don't need to answer it.
Do you think Hilary Clinton would have done better or worse or about the same ?
Personally i think she would have done a tad better but not by much.
We don't need to go into why its just a single question. I'm not trying to deflect.

An art of writing that still eludes me. But not for lack of trying.

However you ruin it with your personal insults towards another poster.
Please show restraint. It makes your points that much more powerful when you do.
Otherwise posters will only focus on insults and not your message.

Obama does need to be held accountable for these last four years.
If you have to go negative that is where to focus on.
Good luck and keep posting.

If you're going to throw out personal insults at him you're no better then he is.
Rise above it.

The people that will vote for Obama are pretty much the same ones that did in 2008.
I doubt he's gain any crossovers since then.
In fact if anything he's lost some voters.
If i was to worry about guys on our side pushing voters towards Obama it would be the senators who say idiotic stuff about rape, abortion, church, women, and other off the mark topics.
Those guys are not republicans they instead have their own agenda.
The republican platform isn't even close to their views.
Yet the democrats are now focus on those idiots as if they speak for Romney.
With the posters in here you have nothing to worry about. No one reading this stuff is going to suddenly change their vote or switch parties.
LOL if i thought that was possible i would post every day in every thread.

All thanks to the Bush Administration.
In 2008 there were 3.8 million foreclosure filings....
Obama walked into 3.9 million foreclosures in 2009.....
This year ends near 2 million.....

The banking industry has destroyed this country, you can thank Bush and his buddies for that one.

actually it was Barney Franks and Chris Dodd who screwed up the banks. Do a little research.
Bush actually tried to stop them and failed.
Bush didn't have the luxury that Obama had with congress.
Bush had at his best a very slim 51 to 49 congress
Whereas Obama had a super majority for 2 years and could pass anything he wanted.
Bush's mistake was not pushing harder to stop Franks and Dodd.
Bush's other mistake was thinking he could work with democrats.
Something Obama never has done.

BUT LETS GETS SERIOUS
Bush is gone. Get over it.
Obama on the other hand IS in office right now.
And unless we stop him he'll go on tearing apart our economy.
Or is blaming Bush all you really want to talk about ?

Obama knew what he was walking in to. He promised the world to get elected and failed on most. Not a surprise since he was fundamentally unqualified for the job with virtually no management experience.

His spin machine continues to blame everyone but Obama for the continuing failures from getting jobs growing after wasting trillions of dollars in failed programs like cash for clunkers and investments in firms that had no chance of succeeding to his failed international policies.

You can blame it all on Bush, but Bush is not running. Obama has been the president for four years. He has had almost unlimited ability to do as he pleased to solve the problems. He failed. He now owns the problems and arguments such as yours are viewed as what they are. Diversionary.
