I would love to see that cop's photo.
You and i might have more in common then either of us realize.
The cop i'm thinking of is short around 5'6 to 5'8 at most. Reddish hair ? Maybe brownish.
He has an always looking for a fight ( LITERALLY ) attitude.
I bet without that badge he wouldn't be so quick to want to dance.
Sound like you're cop ?
Trust me i'm no friend of his.
And i'm no friend of Bender either.
But i have met some cops in Fox Lake that are totally honest and really care.
Our fire dept is the best in lake county.
I have a lot of respect for them.

Hey MM, I enjoy our banter and agree with you about the poster not reading some of your posts correctly. As for Fox Lake I personally witnessed some ugliness involving a very drunk off duty fireman and two Fox Lake Police officers who were working the Lake County marine unit. They did keep the drunk fireman from falling off the pier at Blarneys Island but did allow him to drive off in his boat totally smashed. There isn't much nice things that I could say about Fox Lake except that they don't have that drunk of a mayor Cindy Irwin. BTW don't they have the village meetings at the local bar?

The balloon clown certainly a joke of a mayor.
That only helped this dufus of a mayor we now have get elected.

I don't do bars but i've heard about the drinking of all our past and present village officials. I think being a drunk is part of their resume.

Driving a boat drunk on the chain is a HUGE problem. Firefighter or not they should be arrested the minute they start up that boat or car.
My opinion on drunk drivers car or boat is the same. Drive drunk and your license should be taken away forever. Drunk drivers will always go back to driving drunk. They always have multiple arrests for DUI just before they kill someone.

But my own personal experiences with our firefighters have been good and professional.
Cops not so good. One or two professionals and several jerks.
They do tend to protect each other even when illegally wrong.

I think we might be talking about the same coward ,the fisrt letter in thier last name starts with the 15 letter of the alphabet. And yes a real Tuff Guy, had grandmother mother hold down a 14 year old son while they beat him,Could you see them trying to put a real Tuff Guy into cuffs. They have been suspended for the infamous pepper spray attack some cops love so much. And the Dept seems to protect them,????.But the old Mayor is now and has been under investgation for fondling his patients. The apple doesnt fall far from the tree in Fox Lake when it comes time to abuse

I remember that old mayor well too.
Back when he was a poor excuse for a mayor i was living on Tweed rd.
Him and his drunken pals at the National Athletic Club used to put paper bags over the Legal DON NOT PARK signs along the roads around the Club.
Once me a few neighbors complained we couldn't even drive out of our driveway because the drunks were blocking the driveway.
So our favorite cop drove right over the grass and into the driveway and then said WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM GETTING OUT ? He actually warned everyone he would arrest them the next time they complained.
It was my first of many encounters with that cop.
As for the past mayor i remember a very shady land deal he made while in office.
I can't speak of his being a doctor but he was pond scum as a mayor.

How did the Mayor Nancy not win office again over Irwin but is on the Village Board,????. Didn't people hear about the Water Park,?? But in Fox Tuky anything goes. And people wonder why the Police don't police themselves better, No one cares. Its sad in this day and age people have their rights trampled on and don't stand up.And the few that do are looked at as rebels and out to get the system.I grew up thinking this Country was about standing up.And the freedom do be able to do that.

It is laughable when you cant win against Irwin.
But the humor ran out when she got in as trustee.
I guess in the long run it pays to have a popular daughter in the school system.
Name recognition has helped more then one bad politician get elected.
We really need a full clean slate.
That goes for the police too. The few good cops are way over shallow by the bad ones in town.

I agree with the trampling on a person's rights.
I won't mention him by name but there was a guy running around putting up anti town signs.
All because the village ran off with his tools and other useful as well as useless items on his property.
Had they settled right away honestly with him they would have saved all of us a ton of money in legal fees.
Not saying the guy was right or wrong but it did cost us money when it kept dragging out in court battles after court battle.

To clean Fox Lakes slate you would have to start the town over.Mayor and cops have been sent to prison and passed threw for many years. Remember when the Cops got caught breaking in to Sears,? its in the roots.and so many masked over crimes in the past. But Child Abuse is something they need to step up to and have Zero Tolerances to, in the Police Department and or Schools and places dealing with the young. We should not have to wonder if the person responding to our emergency isn't an abuser themselves.Fox Lake should run back ground checks on all employees every two years. People change and so do their life's,some of the Fox Lake Police are very good officers and people but like any where else there are the bad.And that's what the Department and town need to clean up and pay attention to,we shouldn't have to read about a incident in the paper before something is forcibly done by a court. When one Cop falls they all look bad,but when handled by the Department no one knows anything.Whats easier,??.Child Abuse cant be tolerated at any level.

I'm totally with you on the child abuse should never be tolerated.
The fact that we have them registered publicly is an indicator that they can't be trusted ever.
And since they can't be trusted then why would we ever let them out of jail ?

Fox Lake i'm afraid is hopeless.
Even when we try to do a clean slate ( sort of ) we get guys like Bender in.
His idea of growth is tattoo parlors and cigarette shops.
His idea of bringing in more money is to fine homeowners for any picky thing his inspector squad can find.
As well as red light cameras and video poker.

Let me just say that nobody has the correct story on Spoerry, but in fact he is a turd that needs to be flushed. He's ignorant, and incompetent and was demoted because of this. He is very lucky to still be on the job. It's only a matter of time before he steps on his dick again. Hopefully if that happens he will be gone. The rest of the officers in Lakemoor are all good in my book.

It all depends on the Department they all have different policies,as sad as it is. There are no Mandated Codes for all Police, there are Standards but no consistent procedures universally.

How about doing background checks on anyone running for a political office? Do they already? Just wondering.

I love that idea for ANYONE on the taxpayer's dime not just politicians.
If we're going to put money in their pocket we deserve to know they are not crooks, rapists, drug addicts, or a risk of any kind to us and our children.

They do it for any job you apply for. And how about drug tests for anyone on the taxpayer's dime? Townships and Village alike. Maybe it would clean up the system and discourage potential idiots into running for office?

I used to work for a local company that did random YEARLY drug/alcohol test on all its employees for as long as they worked there.
There wasn't anything dangerous about the products or working conditions. Yet it was still required.
That should be done on everyone on the taxpayers dime.
Criminal background test for all jobs. Ex cons should not be getting our tax dollars.
